Enjoyable Learning
I homeschool and wanted to do a short unit on air. In conjunction with experiments, we read got this book. Such a great story about air with engaging illustrations. Would highly recommend.

Great educational book
Bought for my 2 year old with a wind sensitivity (along with another wind book that's more age appropriate). Concepts are definitely beyond her grasp at this point, but she still enjoys when I read it to her and has actually given me information about wind so I can explain to her what's happening when we're outside and the wind picks up. I find repetition is helpful for her situation and I prefer speaking to her using facts instead if just saying "you're fine". I imagine this book is best for kids in late elementary school, but would recommend for younger kids in a situation like mine.

Clear and simple explanation about how wind is generated.
Theme this week is 'the wind' in the Kindergarten class/pod. Was looking for books that had stories about the wind that the children could enjoy, but also something that explained how wind is generated. This was it. Simple, clear, engaging. Perfect for the class.

Great book. Good story. Grand-daughter loves it. The last page of her old book was missing so bought her another . So great for her to know how the story ends. Fully recommend this book so good for youngsters as they often want to try to read along with you!

Good book
Questions about the wind have been big this spring in my house, and honestly, I couldn't give my 4 year old an answer. This book supplies the answer. Now I can say, "It's when hot air and cold air change places," and he's happy. Great pictures. Great concepts. Talks about things they can relate to. It holds their attention very well.

A child's favorite!
I gave my 3year old grandson one book of this series; he loved it and saw others on the back cover and asked for more. It makes science available and understandable to the very young

Good educational tool
More of an educational book than for bedtime. Note that before you buy.

Great - as described
The book was just what I wanted for my class of Reception age children to use during a module called 'What's the weather like today.'
