Snowpink Ethernet Adapter for Fire TV Stick (2nd GEN),Chromecast Ultra/2/1/Audio, Google Home Mini, Micro USB to RJ45 Ethernet Adapter with USB Power Supply Cable (3.3ft)

I purchased this to add an ethernet connection to my Chromecast with Google TV device. If that is what you are looking for, this will NOT work for you. I'm not sure why it doesn't, but my theory is that the power brick that comes with the Google Chromecast does not provide enough wattage to run the Chromecast and ethernet dongle at the same time. I was reluctant to use a higher wattage plug because Google specifically warns against using a higher wattage adapter.Fortunately, I also had a Firestick 4K and this worked perfectly for that. It's very easy to install, but you will also need to have your own ethernet cable because there is not one in the box. Just plug one end into the Firestick and the other into the Amazon power brick that comes with your Firestick and you're good to go.

I had always opted for Fire TV devices over Firestick because the TV devices include ports for a network cable. Sure, my wifi works fine and has a strong signal, but if you're going to be streaming content in 4K, you're going to want to have the best bandwidth available for it. Wired connections will always be as fast or faster and more stable than wifi.Not much to say other than it 100% works fine and cost me $5 less than the "official" Amazon adapter. Each cord is only 3 feet, so you'll need to plan accordingly. You WILL need to plug the USB cable into a power adapter as many TV USB ports won't offer you enough voltage to power this device and the firestick at the same time.

my Amazon Ethernet adapter worked fine with my gen2 Firestick but not with my 4kFirestick. This one worked perfectly.Edit: had to exchange it. The micro USB connector fell apart after just a few uses. In a way, having the cables built in is not as good because problems make the whole thing useless.Update: I bought another one for travel because it works so well and is economical. Recommended!Update2021: I bought another one. These work well and last longer than the Amazon version.

Just got my Snowpink Ethernet adapter from Amazon.I set it up in less than 5 min.The only thing i had to supply was the ethernet cable and the power cord.I only had my Firestick for about a week ,so i'm still learning a lot.This adapter though definitely helps with interruptions from Wi Fi. Even on a subscription app,i was getting many mishaps.Not anymore with this adapter.I am happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this to anyone who keeps getting frustrated from long buffering times and interruptions from some apps.Still a little quirky ,but then again my internet provider has just been found out to making fake download speeds.Hopefully i will get a refund like a lot of others in New York City wil.I will update if there is any major information about Spectrum ,and thier phony speed claims.

I know this kind of product is intended for use with Chromecast dongles and the like, however I heard it works for the Pi Zero as well, so I got it to make my Pi's connection hardwired for added reliability. Because the Pi has a separate USB port for power, you do not need to plug in the USB-A side of this dongle, only the Micro USB side is needed.

For some reason, the ethernet adapter I purchased was not having a solid connection when connected to my Fire Stick TV. When Snowpink Customer Care found out that I was having problem with the adapter, they reached out to me to help resolve the problem. I no longer have the adapter, which Snowpink did not care. They shipped a replacement adapter to me free of charge. Best customer service ever!!! Seriously. I did not expect them to reach out to me like that. It's service like that that will put you on the top of my list of merchants. Thank you Snowpink. The replacement ethernet adapter works great.

Like many, have battled with the buffering issue with my Firestick so I thought I would go Ethernet as I have a port next to the TV. Easy to setup and connect. Solid, steady network connectivity and download speed. Shame it did not fix my Firestick buffering issue, but its not because of the adapter. the buffering is less noticeable, but still there. Would I or do I recommend the adapter. ABSOLUTLY...Good quality product
