Perfect for those who go through a lot at caramel. I have used this product at home and at our church cafe and I would recommend. The pump is easy to take apart and clean. I think this is some of the best quality caramel you can get.

I really love everything from Ghirardelli and this chocolate sauce is the best! However because the price keeps increasing which is really a shame and it is forcing me to cut back on my consumption. If the pricing keeps going up I will either stop using it in my cappuccinos or I'm going to find an alternative.

The product itself tasted good. A good dark chocolate that mixes well with, in my case, coffee. HOWEVER, everything else about the problem was horrible, complete with a nightmarish twist ending! Originally the product pumped the chocolate sauce nicely and uniformly, but after a couple days of using it it began to show signs that the pump was just cheap and bad and possibly not intended to work with the thickness of the sauce? Instead of uniform pumps, it began to shoot out only air and required several pumps to get one squirt of the sauce. Very frustrating. At one point the pump FIRED off from the container and shot across the room, getting chocolate everywhere. After a long time of using it, since it was such a big bottle, I couldn't get any more product to come out. I gave up on the pump and removed it, I would simply have to find a way to scoop out the sauce itself. Only to discover when I removed the pump, a thick cloud of greenish dust fired up into my face. When I pulled the straw part of the pump up, it was covered in viscous green gunk... chocolate syrup that had grown a colony of mold over the entirety of it. In the bottom of the container was intact chocolate, but probably 50% of any exposed product in there was covered in a fuzzy greenish layer of mold. Who knows how long I was continuing to pull the syrup and just didn't know? DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

As others have said, the issue is the package. I use this sauce for mocha lattes. It’s delicious and easy to portion using the pump. But when it gets down to the bottom, the pump doesn’t reach and you’re left with a lot of sauce you can’t get out. HERE’S WHAT I DO: I fill the kitchen sink with a few inches hot water. Set the container in the water for a few minutes so the chocolate loosens up. Remove the spout and pour the sauce into a glass container with a lid. I use a large canning jar. It typically gives me close to 2 cups of chocolate that would have been wasted. It sounds like a lot of work but it really only takes 5 minutes. Then I just use my coffee teaspoon to scoop out my portion when I brew my latte. This design clearly needs to be improved. But I still prefer the large option versus the smaller, more expensive bottles that I tend to over portion.
