Really fun LEGO set
The Baby Mario and Baby Luigi figures are adorable, and the cars are easy for kids to play with. Great for Mario fans and makes a perfect birthday gift. Pieces fit well and instructions are simple to follow.

Very Pricey
Anyone who's bought LEGO know that they produce consistently high-quality components. That's not to say the sets are the most interesting, but the pieces and instructions are top quality - and this set is no different. The pieces are separated into bags that are grouped by build-stages, so for the most part you only have out the pieces that you'll need to be working on. Of course, they all fit together flawlessly - it's a tried and very heavily tested system. However, it is also an expensive set, which I imagine is for the Nintendo licencing. Larger sets from other licences do not cost as much so this makes it less value... that said, it also does come bundled with interactive electronics so it'll interact with other characters from the same range... savvy move to get you to buy more. Overall, there's nothing surprising about it and you get what you pay for with LEGO.
