One year update: I was concerned at first that this pillow was too overstuffed and firm. Within a couple of weeks it began to soften and “deflate” somewhat, and become more like what you’d normally find in a down blend pillow. Still no feather pokes which is good. It flattens somewhat during the night and stays pushed in where you want it to, and refluffs to a thicker state pretty nicely. I still don’t know for sure if it’s the amount of real down claimed, but it DOES behave more like down after a couple of weeks’ use. It does how flatten a bit too much for my taste now so I may continue my search foe the perfect pillow that doesn’t cost a fortune.Original review: This doesn’t feel like any other down pillow I’ve ever felt or used. It’s overstuffed - probably TOO overstuffed. I expect down to have more “give” to it.... this is pretty hard and feels like it’s filled with something else. But I kept it and am hoping it will soften up with use, which it’s starting to a little bit. Just goes to show how hard it is to find a down pillow that’s not limp and flat, or - if this and another similar very hard “down” pillow I tried - too overstuffed and hard.

If you are on a mission that requires sleeping half alert and ready to jump out of the bed, this is the perfect pillow for you. But if you want something cozy…When it arrives, vacuum packed, seems very tame but once you open the package it gather strength – like too much strength. To be fair, the materials are of good quality. There are no protruding feathers to go through the case and the entire pillow is uniformly packed. Unfortunately, besides being uniformly packed it is also very densely packed which moves the softness towards something like XX firm.Maybe I just got a bad copy but maybe you will get one too. I've returned mine.

I've slept on down pillows my entire life. I am some what disappointed with this one. I knew it was not 100% goose down, having 10% feathers still I expected more softness. It does seem to be very well made and for the price a good deal of you are not as spoiled as me. I'll give this one to a family member then bite the bullet and invest in a pillow that is 100% down.

I THOUGHT I WOULD TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS PILLOW WITH A CORE OF 10% FEATHERS AND 90% WHITE GOOSE DOWN. I HAVE SLEPT ON GOOSE DOWN FOR MANY YEARS AND THIS PILLOW, THOUGH VERY LOVELY, SEEMED NOT SO SOFT TO MY HEAD BY THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. DOWN AUTOMATICALLY RAISES UP WHEN THE PRESSURE IS REMOVED FROM IT, KIND OF LIKE MEMORY FOAM WITHOUT A BAD SMELL. THE SELLER'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY GOOD AND THE PILLOW IS VERY LOVELY. IT HAS GOLD PIPING AROUND ALL FOUR SIDES AND LUXURY STRIPED ENCASEMENT, SO SMOOTH TO THE TOUCH. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED A SOFTER PILLOW. MY FAULT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRODUCT.

These 100% down pillows give a wonderful nights sleep. I bought the pillows for my guest room bed but I am going to buy a set for our master bedroom. The pillows are a medium firmness and excellent quality at a good price. My husband usually likes a firmer pillow but, he likes this pillow. He thinks anything firmer would e too hard. This is the first time we have ever liked the same pillow. The pillow conforms to your head and neck; yet you don't sink thorough the pillow to the mattress.

Very high quality down. No poking from the pillow at all! It's extremely soft. I like how it has a lower loft. I slide off it at night, but that's probably the way I sleep. I'd recommend this pillow.

Wish this pillow were a bit less firm. I could have done with a few less feathers personally. A zipper would have made this possible

Disappointed with this pillow; I only by down pillows and this pillow is very thick and stiff. When I spend this much on a down pillow my head sinks in it like a cloud. This is more stiff like a cotton filled pillow.
