This is an amazing ointment! Great for chapped lips, nappy rash, and healing any irritated skin. And it has a bit of a barrier, protecting effect. Better than petroleum jelly by far! Love it!

This stuff is the best. I use it for lips, cuts, scrapes, and my husband loves using it as a balm for his nether regions before a walk to help with chafing. The texture is smooth and not sticky or greasy. Feels very comfortable on the skin. Perfect for travel since it does so many things.

My two favorite lip balms have either been discontinued or reformulated to be worse (I can’t even talk about it, I will get so upset) so I have been forced ONCE AGAIN to search the world for a new holy grail lip product. I was born with permanently slightly chapped lips, I assume to keep me humble in the face of all my many other gifts, and I basically have to have something on my lips always. They can never be bare. So you see my problem. I must find a solution. This product is not even remotely what I thought I wanted. I recognize the benefit of a petroleum based occlusive lip product but I tend to not like the texture. It’s too slippy, it’s never thick enough, and it always has the petroleum taste that I find unpleasant. This product is all of those things!!! It’s thin, it’s not cushiony, it’s a little chemically!! AND YET!!! By God, it works. I hate to say it, but it works. I am annoyed about it every time!! But I use it daily and feel a sense of relief because it’s doing what it’s supposed to. I put it on before bed and my lips are less dry in the morning from my (charming, attractive) sleeping open mouth breathing. My hunt continues for a lip balm that I don’t resent loving, that feels the way I prefer my lip balms to feel (THICK!!!!! Balmy!!!!!) but I will likely use this for the rest of my life as well. It’s an enormous tube, I don’t need much, and it works. So help me, it works great. I’ve even been putting it on my cuticles and little random dry skin patches. Works great there too. :(

I’m so glad I found this product, I’ve been using it continuously for over six years. I first bought it after I went camping and got poison oak or poison ivy all over my knees. It hurts so bad and nothing I bought OTC worked even products especially made to quell the discomfort. I tried this product and though it didn’t initially heal the poison ivy hives, it stopped the itching, but most importantly it put a complete end to the awful pain. When my lips are completely chapped, this is my go to instead of Chapstick. If I have a patch of dry skin, it helps, if I have a bug bite, it helps if my dog has a sore it helps. Literally it can be used on anything and worst case scenario it will slightly help, best case scenario it will completely remedy the issue. There is no scent, and the viscosity is perfect for an ointment. last thing, this item is always super convenient because you can order it in tubing that works perfectly just for the lips, another tubing is perfect for dabs, and the tab is perfect for when you need a good amount of it. It’s a miracle product.

You won't regret purchasing Lucas papaw ointment. I suffer from Sjorgens immune disorder. My lip corners crack and become sore. I have tried many products without relief. While on vacation in the Philippines. I really needed relief from my red cracked lips. The pharmacist recommended this product. Cant tell you the relief and healing within a days use. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to purchase again After searching Amazon. I was relived to find it here to purchase. Lifesaver for one who suffers from embarrassment of red cracked lip and corners. I am smiling without pain now!!

love this product! i use it for anything and everything. but mainly use of the lips. it is less like a balm and more like a vaseline or jelly. but it’s super hydrating and lasts a while on the lips. the smell is a bit odd but nothing over bearing
