Christmas Glass Moose Mug - Set of 2, 8 ounces

OMG! I was SUPER nervous to order these because I loved the ones I had previous! They were the last 2 at the store and I paid full price for because I wanted them so badly! They were on the smaller side and kind of thin but I didn't care, I was so excited to finally have my Christmas Vacation mugs! We got through Christmas and I decided to keep them out on display on my wine bar because they were so cool! Cut to last week, I was asleep and heard a noise, it was my cats playing. Next morning I woke up to my precious mugs broken! Apparently the cats were chasing each other, got on the wine bar and knocked them over! Both antlers on both mugs broke off and I was devastated! I came across this seller that had 2 for a very reasonable price but they weren't the ones I had, they were a little different. I really wanted my mugs so I took a chance and ordered and I was pleasantly surprised! The ones I received are bigger, heavier, and sturdier than what I had previously! I'm a little mad at myself for paying so much for the smaller, thinner ones instead of researching! I definitely recommend purchasing these and don't wait for Christmas! They look awesome all year round!

I ordered 4 of these and wasn’t sure what to expect based on other reviews. This review is for those trying to figure out which version to buy. I also own the ICUP moose mugs. These mugs are larger and over twice as heavy than the ICUP version. They both hold exactly 8 liquid ounces. The mug on the ICUP version is shorter and appears smaller but the volume is made up in the nose. The ICUP nose is completely open. On these mugs the nose has a tiny indentation so you don’t see the nose fill up. These antlers are attached with no angle between them. The height on these antlers where they attach to the mugs is much taller and appear to be much stronger because there is more surface area in contact. The neck of the mug is much larger in diameter and appears in better proportion to the rest of the mug than the ICUP version. The glass and antlers overall are visibly thicker. These mugs have very little taper towards the top which makes drinking a little easier compared to the ICUP mugs which have quite a bit of taper. Overall I prefer these mugs as they are much heavier and look closer in design to the mugs used in the movie. I weighed both mugs - this mug weighs in a 1lb 2oz. The ICUP version weighs in at 7oz.

I saw these and knew I needed to get them for my mom. She loves National Lampoon. Made a perfect gift.

'Tis the season to watch holiday movies you love. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is a yearly tradition for my family during this time of year. I really wanted a set of these glasses and finally did it. I did a lot of research before the purchase and kept reading reviews on these type of glasses. It seems that people just need some clarification for common questions and concerns people share that comes down to thickness of the glasses in the nose area, if they are made of real glass, how many ounces they really hold etc. These are very thick glass and the nose itself is solid glass. The antler handles are very thick and are solidly mounted. The whole mug itself is very thick and heavy. It's listed they hold around 8 oz and they definitely do. Overall great purchase and conversation piece. A little expensive but that's expected with novelty items such as these. I definitely recommend purchasing these over the others out there.

I have wanted a set of these for years. If you can't have Mary from the department store, you can at least have these. I finally decided this was the year and ordered a set of two mugs. Amazon supplied a letter suggesting immediate inspection upon arrival to ensure items arrived unbroken. They arrived in the pictured box with adequate surrounding styrofoam to protect. Simply an outstanding rendering since it's the real licensed product from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Arrived intact and were an absolute hit at my Christmas party. I skipped the fried pussy cat and instead just supplied the homemade egg nog to fill them with Christmas cheer. While the mugs are certainly usable, they are a limited 4 oz. serving size so don't expect Tall cocktails. These are also not the mugs you want to get tipsy with and swing around through the night. They're solid, but aren't going to stand up to much abuse due to the design.Still, if you're a fan of the movie these are an absolute must for Christmas. The only thing missing is the Jelly of the Month Club.

Being a humongous fan of Christmas Vacation, I just had to order a set of these moose mugs! They're thick glass and look nice, and they come packaged in individual boxes packed with sturdy styrofoam. They would make perfect dirty Santa gifts, but I'm totally keeping mine! We'll enjoy sipping eggnog from the moose heads while laughing over the fried cat, hungry rottweiler, light malfunctions, slippery sleds and vicious icicles for many years.

I recently re-watched the Christmas Vacation. The moose mugs in the movie is not the same. The antlers (in the movie are MUCH larger).However, as moose mugs go, these are very well made. They are awkward to hold but I purchased these for my in-laws who are big fans of the movie. They totally loved these.If you’re a fan of movie products or even if you just love having cool looking mugs, these are great.I recommend these both for quality and the fun/odd appeal.

Leider waren die "Gläser " nicht aus Glas sondern Kunststoff, da ich sonst kein geschenk gehabt hätte wollte ich sie nicht zurück senden aber deswegen würde ich keine Empfelung aussprechen

Bigger, thicker, heavier glass, then the ones you find at discount places around Christmas. The details are well done. No bubbles in the glass, and no issues with leaks. There is a reason these glasses cost more

We've been wanting to buy these for a long time (more than 10 years) but the postage and exchange rate has been the limiting factor.Once they were available on Amazon it was a no brainer and we couldn't be happier.They are a thick glass and a touch heavier than expected. Although this is great for keeping things colder or hotter longer.I'm glad we went with the original glass ones and not one of the plastic alternatives. These are great!
