I’ve been using this gimbal since late March, and it has honestly impressed me. The setup was quick, the controls are easy to learn, and balancing the phone takes only a moment once you’ve done it once or twice. The motors feel strong, and even when moving quickly, the footage stays steady and smooth. The stabilization performance is noticeably better than using the phone alone. Walking shots look cleaner, pans are smoother, and the gimbal responds naturally without overcorrecting. The different modes are useful, especially PF and POV, and switching between them is very straightforward. Battery life has been great so far. I’ve used it for longer shooting sessions without needing to recharge mid-day, and the USB-C charging makes it convenient. The build quality is also better than expected — lightweight but sturdy enough to feel secure in the hand. Overall, after using it consistently for several weeks, this has proven to be a reliable and easy-to-use mobile stabilizer. More expensive than similar models but built extremely durable and tons of features. Not the easiest to use out of the box but YouTube has some really great tutorials to have you up and running in no time. Super functional, long lasting battery. Great for the regular Joe trying to get some great quality shots.

This thing is honestly so impressive. I shoot tons of content with it and the AI tracking is really impressive. I have friends with higher end, “name brand” gimbals and when I show them how smooth and fast the AI follow feature is, they’re pretty blown away. This is actually my second one (first one was dropped from a considerable height by a friend and one of the motors stopped working properly, absolutely no fault of the brand/gimbal). I wish it was a little easier to repair…but splitting hairs. Make sure you take the time to learn how to properly balance this!! If you don’t, the motors get hot really quickly. But if it’s well balanced, they stay cool and the battery lasts a shockingly long amount of time!

What looks to good to be true prolly is - I livestream 4 x a week on the street - this was great for about a week. I’m super careful - lock it put it away properly - treat it like a newborn baby, a premie even. After about a month and half- would charge it completely - get to set up and it wouldn’t work or lost some of charge or even worse, would only work when plugged into the charger - I would not recommend this to any one who needs a serious gimbal - it’s cheaply made, screen pops out at whim, the locks on gimbal are easily and accidentally clicked - it really loses horizontal often…. I bought the warranty…. I’m happy to have a platform where I can share my experience, I’m also happy I bought the warranty I’ll be using this, often.

If you're a content creator you definitely need to grab one of these. The detachable remote with screen is perfect for keeping you in frame. The AI tracking is perfect for helping with streams and recording outood videos. The RGB and light adjustments also comes in handy. It also has a wider clamp to hold your phone with a case still on. I don't use the extention much, but it is there.

It’s a great gimbal, I’ve used it a few times for car events. It is far advanced than most other smartphone gimbals out there and can compete against professionals like DJI. Pros: 1. Great handling feel 2. Super strong motors with adjustable levels based on setup intensity 3. Straightforward mounting & motor lock/unlock control 4. Super smooth balancing for roll axis 5. Awesome detachable remote 6. On-gimbal Phone charging port 7. Fast charging compatible 8. Unbeaten at this price point Cons: 1. Only capable of clicking photos or recording videos with native camera. No zoom or focus control. 2. Switching to wide angle can be annoying sometimes. My phone was mounted too low to balance in the normal mode and when I needed to switch to wide angle mode, I had to rebalance the whole thing again. 3. Tilt axis adjustment can be tedious. 4. Iffy app experience- works mostly well but can crash randomly sometimes.

10-30-25 Final update: This company definitely deserves 5 stars. Despite having bad luck with my first 2 units. Hohem was very understanding and reached out to me offering to send me a brand new unit Free of charge. This company does stand by there products! 07-22-25 Update: Ive taken very good care of this Gimbal and just randomly today one of the motors stopped working properly. It keeps getting really hot and turns off. It doesn't swivel smoothly and shows it very unbalanced for the roll one motor and it gets caught up. Everything is unlocked and used like before. I just don't trust this Gimbal anymore. Now Im out of the return window. Update : The company and seller reached out to me and went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Im sure it was just a very unlikely mistake that they sent a used item. Rest assured that this company will take care of any issues you my encounter. Also this is the best Phone Gimbal released at the time of writing this. Blows the DJI Osmo 7P out of the water. Yes it costs more but is well worth every penny! Great Gimbal but terrible quality control at the factory. I bought this new and got a used item missing the cables and warranty card! Very disappointed. Be cautious from this seller. You may get a used item.

Great Gimbal dare I say better than DJI on this product. I own a lot of the other brand and love them, but this beats their phone gimbal hands down. Smooth, easy to put together when in a rush. Love that the remote is part of the gimbal not separate, so you don't loose it.

I am a gimbal novice. When speaking to friends that have them, one thing became crystal clear: they all owned iPhones. The model I initially wanted was the great selling DJI Osmo Mobile 6, but after looking at both the listing and review videos of it, I came away dismayed that DJI no longer supports Android and you cannot download their app to your mobile phone from the app store - but you can side-load and old version that is no longer supported. If you do this, you are limited in frame rates and resolutions supported and can only use their app. Needless to say I was unimpressed with DJI's offering. Most other gimbals also seem to have limits on resolutions and frame rares supported, and it is a mixed bag when trying to use your native camera app: some allow it, some do not. Hohem, however, is different. Not only does the iSteady M6 work with your native camera app, it has almost full functionality in your native camera app. On my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra I can shoot video in 720p (30fps), 1080p (30fps & 60fps) and 2160p (30fps and 60fps), and I can do so within the Hohem Joy app or using my native Samsung camera app. The amount of features is quite staggering, especially for a neophyte, but with a little bit of time playing around with it the gimbal will soon open up so many creative possibilities. I was in Rome recently and used it while on a tourist hop on, hop off bus and got some amazing videos out of it. Best of all: the Hohem iSteady M6 will hold my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra along with its case. I have not found any other gimbal that will hold an item so wide with the standard mount. I am not a content creator or YouTube/Instagram influencer. I am a regular person who wants to offset my increasingly unsteady gate and less than perfectly-still phone holding ability when I try to take photos and videos. The iSteady M6 is rather large, but it isn't too heavy and the kit comes with a hard case, which is a nice value added feature when considering most of Hohem's rivals ship their gimbals in soft pouches. I am not really going to go into detail on the "AI" tracking/colour led attachment, as others have covered its usage and utility, but suffice to say it is a very cool addition to the gimbal. Overall I am very happy with the Hohem iSteady M6 gimbal and, though I won't be using it all the time, when I do plan to use it I know it will give me some amazing shots.

I took a number of weeks deciding on a new gimble for my Android phone. Firstly if this is your first gimble it's not easy to set up, especially as there are spelling errors. There are two main issues for me: 1. It clearly states for I phone or android. There is no max size in the description. I have a Samsung flip which opens to the size of most flagship phones. It was to big to be used vertical and the axis didn't have full movement horizontal as it would clip the device and stop. 2. After the initial set up the device constantly displayed "Error unlock". There are only 2 places that the gimble locks not included twisting from horizontal to vertical (Which I couldn't do any, see point one). Whether the gimble was unlocked or not the "Unlock error" displayed. Sadly, this has resulted in the device being sent back for a refund. I hope the company takes the time to read this and make clear it's size restrictions clear. As there are plenty of models bigger than mine. This was without any case on. The device looks the business, it just doesn't do the business.

If I had any negative comments for this product - it would be the way this has been under advertised hahaha! I initially had the much hyped insta360 Flow but I returned it immediately after finding out that it has A LOT of limitations when it comes to the phones it supported and the movements it can do. Then I found out about the Hohem iSteady M6 and man it was the best purchase I've ever made. 1. True 3-axis gimbal - with lots of range of motion for pan, tilt, and rotate axis. I've only had it for a few days but I am very impressed. I tried the angles I was previously trying on the Flow which were not possible and the iSteady handled it like a dream. 2. Phone Compatibility - it doesn't matter if you have an iPhone or a Samsung - this gimbal supports it all. Even on their app, you don't miss out on any functionality. A few settings may not be available (like certain frame rates) - but all functions are there for you to play with. 3. Good app (Hohem Joy). For a beginner like me, the app is very good and user-friendly. 4. Works without the app. If you fancy using the native app on your phone, you can still use the iSteady. 5. AI Tracker - if you're getting this gimbal, spend the few extra pounds to get the M6 kit. The AI sensor works on your native camera app. The only negative (if you can call it that) that I can say is that the iSteady M6 is a big boi. But it comes with a good hard case, so you can still take it anywhere. I'm not forcing you to believe what I'm saying about this gimbal - it is really good for the price you are getting it at. Have a search on Youtube and see for yourself. 5 stars and I definitely recommend you give it a try!
