This is high quality, 16 AWG zip cord (two-conductor wire) at a very reasonable price. The conductor is actually copper, rather than copper clad aluminum or steel, so it's very flexible and easy to solder. The insulation is high quality; it is resistant to hydrocarbons (gasoline, oil, etc.) and rated for temperatures up to 176 F (80 C), so it's suitable for use in most automotive engine compartments as long as it's kept a few inches away from the engine block, exhaust manifolds and other high temperature parts. The conductors are individually insulated (one red, one black) and pull apart easily and cleanly. I've used this wire to make power cables for amateur radios and also to install lighting and equipment on vehicles, and it's worked very well.

I often am skeptical about buying wire on amazon given the vast range of quality I've seen on it. I've seen wire advertised as "pure copper" that was clearly copper coated steel or other. This stuff is real. It's super flexible, jacket is tough, and it's sized just as it says. I haven't counted the strands, but it's a lot, as you'd expect from quality stranded wire. Highly recommend this stuff. I'd been buying the Powerwerx brand which is top quality, but comes at top price. This stuff is EVERY bit as good!

Was looking for a durable wire for use to wire 12 volt DC under counter LED Puck Lights. While my application was not as severe as it's original automotive application, its worked well for my installation. Unlike other wires suggested for that application, it is a higher gauge for less voltage loss and it has a very durable coating that is easily stripped with a standard electrical wire stripper. A further plus is that like the wire attached to the Puck Lights, it is red and black, so it was easy to keep the polarity correct when wiring these LED lights.

Received product as described. Good quality. Insulation is good quality. Wire is slightly stiff making alot easier to run through channels. Would buy again.

This is some great wire. I bought several spools of wire from these guys cause it's OFC pure copper and not CCA crap. And it's zip wire! I'm very happy with the wire itself. It solders and bends just fine. Powers all my lighting and equipment very well. The only downside is that the jacketing is not marked or labeled at all. Doesn't matter much to me because I'm just using it for automotive stuff but maybe to someone it matters. Came on a nice and thicc plastic spool

Great dual conductor cable to run to my 12v new fog lamps on my F450 Super Duty dump ttuck.

This is real copper and it's heavy not fake junk like almost everything else out there.I'm using this on my Logitech 5.1 sound system on the satellite speakers and notice a small difference.

Reasonably good quality copper wire. the strands are a little coarse for audio applications, but it makes it easier to work with, so I don't really mind. Decent quality spool too. I actually like the feel of the insulation, it seems to be a two shot plastic, with the black/red on the inside, and clear over that. I'll have to see how well it holds up
