Johnson's Calming Baby Shampoo with Lavender is the perfect way to try and get your child to calm down and relax a bit when it's the end of a long day, they've been awake since before sunrise, and just keep going and going and going - well beyond the capabilities of an Energizer bunny. The shampoo is delicate and gentle so it won't burn their eyes, and it has a great smell to it. There is nothing on this planet that can make our child tired and ready for bed, but this stuff seems to help, even if it's just a little bit. More importantly, it works well for hair, leaves it clean and fresh smelling, and doesn't burn the eyes if you get some in them. I probably won't ever have a need to look for anything else. It seems a little pricey, but Johnson's has the monopoly and there isn't much competition out there. And if there is, it's likely made in China so you'd have to be really cautious due to what chemicals they might use and how bad it could be. That's why I tend to stick to larger brands like Johnson's.

The calming scents pair well with our daily bath before bedtime, and aren't harsh on her skin or hair. Love the pump on it instead of a cap for easy dispensing. No artificial colors or phalates, harmful chemicals, etc. and it never dried out her skin or hair (we started out washing her hair every night but then went to every other night but still didn't dry her out).
