As someone who’s extremely organized and thrives in neat and tidy surroundings, I found these Cadence travel canisters intriguing. The pluses – I like the hexagonal shape for better organizational configurations whereby they take up less counter/cabinet/bag space. The lids are very secure once tightened on each container meaning there won’t be any leakage or spillage of contents. They are magnetized on all sides so that they stick together in any configuration as noted above, and I find it useful and inventive to be able to place the containers together this way; of note, the 2 smallest containers only have magnets on the bottom, NOT the sides. And I enjoy the petal pink shade…it’s pretty and fun. As to their construction, I thought the containers would be like miron glass jars and feel a bit more substantial than they do. They’re actually made of hard plastic, with smooth plastic interiors. The lids take a bit of effort to completely tighten and line up with the hexagon shape of the base; I had to loosen and tighten the lid a few times with each container for it to finally line up and maintain the full hexagon shape from top to bottom. The magnets are a primary design feature of these containers and part of their appeal. They should hold the containers together firmly, however I found that the magnets aren’t that strong…while they do connect the containers together very easily, they separate just as easily with movement – you definitely *can’t* lift the entire set by one of the containers, it easily releases from the other containers it’s connected to. I’d have preferred stronger magnets to hold the containers together more securely and tightly. The set included 2 small containers @ .56 oz each, 4 medium containers @ 1.32 oz each, and 1 extender that adds another 1.43 oz to any container it’s attached to – just like the lids as described above, I had to loosen/re-tighten it a few times before it properly lined up with the hexagonal shape of the other container to be a smooth hexagon on all sides. I do think the volume sizes are small and could be larger to be more functional; with the existing sizes I’d need multiple sets to really make excellent use of them and that would mean taking up more space. Seems that larger containers could accomplish being more functional while also still being compact in terms of space utilization. While I do like this set overall, I can’t say that I’d expect to pay $134 for it…I don’t think the quality level entirely justifies the price. The materials should be of higher quality and the finesse of the design and resulting user experience could be a higher level in my personal opinion – this includes having stronger magnets. As such, I think this set is around a 3.9.

We will travel a lot, and keeping these containers filled and ready for when it’s time to go is more accessible. I used to place all my facial regimen products in a plastic bag and then into another smaller makeup bag for traveling because no matter how tight I tightened each of them, one would always leak. I no longer have to do all those extra steps or spend additional money on plastic bags to put the stuff in because these containers keep it all secured and do not spill. They are effortless to fill and easy to clean when needed. The best part is they’re magnetic, and you can grab them and go. You’ll never forget one product because they’re all stuck together. These Cadence Travel Containers are as advertised, well-made, and work well. The PRICE is in the usual range.
