I ordered These and they were delivered to me on March 10 2019. Today is April 14 2019. I go to the gym 5 - 6 times a week, for 2 hours a day. Judging by the reviews ( They seemed to be more favorable) I figured I'd give them a shot. I will say, that they are comfortable. Unfortunately, that is the only plus. The quality of these gloves are REALLY bad. The pictures show the damage already done to the gloves after roughly a month of use. This is just normal wear & tear gym activity. The stitching is really weak.. you can clearly see the separation near my wrist. The top material layer bubbled up and started ripping. The padding on the right hand glove is separating from the glove itself. I really wanted to like these gloves. I liked the looks of the gloves.. But sadly.... The quality of these gloves are extremely poor.

Last year, I was on a mission to lose weight so I first joined a kickboxing class in April and lost 10 lbs in 2 months. After losing 10 lbs, I felt like I could be motivated to exercise on my own to lose more weight without rejoining the kickboxing class so I bought bunch of weight training gears to exercise and lift weights at home.Believe it or not, the most tricky equipment was the workout gloves because of the safety, comfort, and protection of the hands and wrists. I ended up purchasing bunch of workout gloves as trial and error and this gloves were my favorite hands down.WHAT I LIKE:[+] High quality leather with mesh clothes for breathability[+] Thick padding on the palms for cushion and extra comfort[+] Long wrist strap for wrist protection with the strongest velcro I've ever seen to date[+] Two finger loops and three tabs for taking them off very quickly and easily even with sweaty hands!WHAT I DON'T LIKE:[-] The overall stitching on the gloves is excellent except in the thumb area where the leather and mesh clothes meet (see pictures)Even with the minor flaw of the stitching on the thumb area, this glove still deserves a praise in my book.They provide good grips, protection, and comfort while lifting weights and I even wear them for push ups on the floor because of the thick padding that provides cushion between my palm and the floor.BOTTOM LINE:4.5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this gloves. Other than the stitching around the thumb, I feel like these gloves will last for years to come. Hopefully, the stitching flaw is a defect on just my gloves.P.S. Make sure to order the recommended size based on the measurement guide because no gloves will be good enough if it's too big or too small. I am writing this review on the DarkIron Fitness gloves as a 'first impression' review, focusing on the initial fit and finish and their function through my first two workouts. I ordered according to instructions which just confirmed what I kind of felt would be my size..large. They are true to fit. I have 40+ years in the gym and I have some experience with gloves. I do not know how they sell these as cheaply as they do...watch out, here comes a price increase :) Seriously, they fit like a glove...no pinch points between the fingers, enough padding on the palms, but not overwhelming. Nice and light even with the leather and mesh build. Attention to detail on the stitching. Could press dumbbells and grip for heavy pulls easily. Flipping the Tireflip 180 XL a breeze. Don't want to sound too strange here, but, I could easily brush my teeth wearing these gloves LOL. Also, Alan is great with customer service as I also own the weight belt and straps. Buy these today if you need gloves. PS. This may show up under the name Lynn, but, I'm her husband. Cheers!

They advised their gloves that: “BUILT TO LAST : our weightlifting gym gloves are made of premium genuine leather and reinforced stitching so they’ll never rip, tear, fall apart, or wear out like inferior work out gloves made from fake leather or cheap cotton “YET , in less than a month and 20 uses , the gloves tears apart. I can’t believe I made a mistake purchased 3 of these without trying one first for durability. Their leather belt is good quality, but these gloves does not last. It’s such a disappointment as they fit quite well. I hope they will improve their quality so I can support them again .

I have no idea how these workout gloves have a 4 star rating. First of all they are suppose to be leather. They feel like a cheap "pleather". I find no evidence of leather anywhere. The inside is a cloth like material and the outside is pretty much covered in that pleather material. The padding is so thick on the palm of the glove that it's difficult to get a good grip on the bar. Leaves me with no real feeling of a secure grip. The four fingers fit pretty well but the thumb is so tight on me that I can barely ever get the gloves off. As for durability, I am seeing the material between the fingers already start to split down the sides. I have only been using these for a little over a month. I have included a picture of the index finger splitting. Going to start looking around for a true quality leather pair of gloves.
