It's working better than normal soil
So far so good for my amaranth bonsai (this is only my second bonsai so idk what makes good or bad soil)

1 qt is not much soil . . .
I bought this when my bonsai starter kit actually grew a tree that got big enough to re-plant. The bag is very small. I bought bonsai pots that came in a three pack and did not realize this wouldn't fill more than one. I'm giving it five stars because it's been months, and the tree is still living! :)

Bonsai is happy!
It’s good for bonsai trees and smaller bonsai plants. Mine is small now, but will grow as big as I want it.

Not the right soil
Got it for my bonsai tree and after I moved my tree with the new soil it died with 2 weeks.

Good potting mix
I recently purchased a serissa bonsai and needed some soil to repot it into the container that I got for it. The old soil which it came with was very dense and held a lot of moisture (which these trees typically need), but it can also lead to root rot. A bit in the pricey side (almost $30 for a small bag that just about filled up my rectangle pot) but I love how chunky this mix is!
