It is important to have a NON-LEAD item to hold such as this one... because nobody should handle lead bullets. This item is a replica and it is NOT made from lead. It gives you an idea how heavy and deadly these "mini-balls" were. I purchased a real mini-ball from another source, but must keep it in a sealed container so nobody can actually touch it because of the lead powder on it. BUT this replica has no lead so,it's safe to handle it.

I used this in a lesson I taught at secondary school for a hands on experience for the students. In addition, I combined it with the CD sound of the same caliber musket being fired. It assisted in the comprehension of the lesson.
