Last - All Purpose Record Cleaner (2 oz)

I have found that LAST cleaner, when used with the supplied white brushes, cleans some the oldest dirtiest singles and lp's. My technique is to apply moderate pressure on the disc on the turntable for at least 20 turns. I can see the white pads turning brown with dirt. I keep cleaning until the pads stay white. This reduces surface noise in a dramatic way even on discs from the '50's. The white pads are easy to clean with dish soap, allowed to dry and they are ready for more.

I have a fairly significant quantity of vintage and new vinyl. Some of my older vintage pieces look visually NM- (near mint minus using the Goldmine grading standard) but when I played them there was a constant barrage of clicks pops and crackles. I also have a Record Doctor V cleaning system. Even after using that, which is a pretty good machine, the sound quality improved some but was not quite as good as I thought it should be considering the vinyl itself was not scratched and was still quite shiny, both indicators that it should sound better.I bought the Last cleaning system because the claim was that it would significantly improve the cleaning of micro dust on vinyl records. After using it several times my opinion is that this unit is just….OK. No miracles were observed, no significant improvement was noted in clicks pops and crackles, and it has become just another cleaning system in my collection.What really cleaned the record the best was using Titebond II glue, coating the record, waiting for it to dry and then peeling it off. This made a massive improvement in the sound of the record. What was once a G+ record has now become a VG+ record.

This is an excellent home record cleaner without spending a lot of money. The only thing is the brushes can get dirty quickly if you're trying to clean up albums that have some buildup, but they're easily cleanable.

This product makes the record shiny but does nothing to improve the sound quality. The applicator barely works and just leaves the vinyl streaked. Waste of money.

You need just a tiny bit to do the job. Works great!

My expectations were to have a cleaning solution that would safely clean my vinyl records without damaging. This product has more that met my desires. Scratchy sounding records cleaned to the point where the scratches are no longer heard and the music takes me back to my childhood.

I used this cleaner on very old vinyls that had been stored in a basement for many years. It cleaned them nicely without spotting when done according to directions. If you get them too wet, they will look "hazy." It goes a long way because only a small amount is needed per record. I would purchase this again.
