Jewish Holidays and Traditions Coloring Book (Dover Holiday Coloring Book)

Interesting and fun

I bought this product for my child hoping to show him some positive messages about Judaism at an age level appropriate book. I thought from the cover and title it would be an inclusive book of all Jewish families and tell the story of various Jewish holidays and traditions. However, this book is Ashkenormative and the Torah figures drawn also reflect this. The family stories only compare what happened in Eastern Europe.I was very disappointed in this book. I cannot have my child use it and as a responsible parent I cannot pass it along to any other child that I know.

I love this book it will help with my little one's learning about family culture and religion.

I have a collection of the Dover coloring books. I do like this one but to me the drawings are not as nice as some of the other ones. I color to relax and when I watch tv, these coloring books are more for adults or older children. I use Primsacolor colored pencils the regular and verithins for the really intricate ones.I highly recommend the whole line of dover coloring books.

I got this to use when we studied the Old Testament (as history, not for religion). We are not Jewish but I appreciate their history and faith and was happy to have an activity to accompany our study. My 10 year old colored the appropriate page while I read the story from the Bible.

good for a child (or adult new to Hebrew) to learn basic info on the Holidays/Traditions

Not intended for Orthodox families... Many inaccuracies.

It's just what I needed to teach kids about Jewish holidays. They are going to love it. The pictures are detailed and very active.

I like this book. It's a good mix of information and pictures. The topics are treated in a respectful and accurate way, so you can learn while having fun coloring.

très intéressant de pouvoir mêler la découverte d'une religion avec le coloriage, dessins pour adultes et grands enfants, le hic, ça serait que les feuilles sont pas de très bonne qualité lorsqu'on colorie avec des feutres.
