Perfect Tarp
Our family very like this sunshade, it’s infinitely superior to beach umbrellas, only weigh 4 pounds, set up in seconds and provides way more shaded area than a beach umbrella, while allowing the breeze to blow through to keep you cool. The key is really stretching it out, putting lots of sand in the bags, and facing the wind. Bury the bags if the wind is strong.Things I learned after my first attempt to use this product:1.fill the sand bags all the way.2.Put the poles as close to the corners as you can.3.Pull the sand bags out (forward and to the rear) as far as they will go.In shortly, we used these every day for a week at the beach, had 0 issues. Love it.

Performed well with no wind and with wind Outer Banks of NC
We were very pleased with this product. It is very lightweight and simple to put up. It provided ample shade for the two of us in our chairs with a small cooler. It performed well with no wind and also with pretty strong winds at the NC Outer Banks. The only problem we had was that there was a tiny cut on the seam when we got it and the foam ball came off the pole after several windy days at the beach. (We were able to glue the ball back on the pole with super glue and it was fine.) I would definitely recommend this product. Just make sure that you overfill the sandbags and pull them tight when setting it up.

Good bang for my buck!
Okay, this thing works pretty well. Took it to the beach(NC coast) 3 days after I rcvd it, took less than 5 minutes to set up.Advice: fill up the sand bags with as much as you can, and after setting up the poles and aligning it to your liking, push some sand up around the bags and a little on top as well for extra stability.Poles could be a tad longer, say maybe a foot, that would prevent any dipping or bending to get under it for some shade.I bought the 7’ by 7’, would buy the 10x10 if I had to do it over, but poles are still the same length.Strong wind at the beach but it held up great once I figured out the sandbag thing mentioned above. It rained for about 15 minutes while there and provided some cover from that as well (bonus!).Easy to pack up once we were ready to leave. Another tip: fold the poles up and put them in the bag first, then fold the cover in rectangle and slide it in the bag, then the lines and bags. Also, watch the video for setup once or twice and it’ll help with your first use.Definitely feel I got a good bang for my buck(under $50).

Not great for strong beach winds
Love how easy and lightweight it is. Haven't figured out the best way to fold back into the bag, going to have to buy another cause I ripped it the 2nd time using. It did ok against strong beach winds but it did fall twice. Could have not put enough sand in bags but I want an anchor net to put over it to weigh the fabric down a little more

Way overpriced and does not work like described.
We will be doing an upcoming move to San Diego and then on to Hawaii and we really wanted to find something lightweight and easy to use for shade as we will be at the beach often. This item was recommended by a fellow military spouse and after reading reviews we decided to give it a try. Worst item ever! We used it at a local lake as a trial run and just setting this thing up took over 30 min. The knots do not hold, the poles are so flimsy and do not stand well on harder sand and a slight breeze would knock them down. 4 Poles are definitely needed to even keep this thing afloat and stronger ones with spikes would be nice for security. I also found this item to be very overpriced for a 5 foot piece of stretchy fabric and flimsy aluminum poles. If the price was cut in half it may be worth the hassle but even that would be questionable.

Great Tent For Travel
I bought this tent and took it to the beach to avoid needing to rent umbrellas and it exceeded my expectations. It fits easily into a suitcase and weighs a few pounds at most! This tent was able to withstand 20+ mph winds with ease! I think most people's troubles come from not using enough sand in the bags or having the poles upside down. FILL UP THOSE BAGS as much as you can, then make sure the tent is taught before propping it up on poles. The balls of the poles should be up (in the tent not down in the ground). For added stability on the beach, I built a little sand mountain around the poles, and buried the sandbags in the front! You may need to angle the poles if the wind picks up so that it is leaning into the wind. This will help reinforce the tent from those strong beach winds! My only con is I wish I had 4 poles as it would allow more room to sit under the tent with 4 people. The tent with 2 poles is great for 2-3 people, but you won't be sitting in beach chairs but rather on a blanket!

*UPDATE* Received damaged product
The carrying bag was damaged with the seam ripped right out of the box. Not a very good start with Alpha Camp. I have reached out requesting a replacement carrying bag, will update my review of they respond.*UPDATE* - I messaged the seller (ALPHA CAMP) and they sent me a whole new shade tent for free. Happy customer.Product is good, pretty easy to deploy - I like how you can just use sand bags to weight it down. I would have preferred the 4 pole version for greater shade area.

Doesn't like wind
Easy to put together, not so easy to keep up. A little bit of wind blew it over. The poles were awkward in the sand and not sturdy in the sand.
