Purchased for making homemade yogurt. Exactly as described -- seems to be accurate, easy to use and clean. No complaints.

Wonderful tool! Works well and the battery lasts a long time. I checked at freezing and boiling and it read accurately through the full range. It turns on quickly, reads the temp fast, and has a good backlight. I use it for baking, meats, and coffee/tea and I haven’t had a single bad outcome (from the temperature!).

I consume lots of hot liquids - coffee, tea, soups, etc. Most end up needing to be reheated, often frequently. My favorite digital thermometer finally expired after numerous batteries worth of service. I tried a couple of replacements but they were either slow to respond (6-10 seconds), or had smallish displays that require young eyes or strong glasses to read. This unit has a large unit display with auto illumination for several seconds. It reads almost instantly, is accurate, and reproducible! The probe is a full 5 inches (others 3-4 in) which helps for deep mugs, pots or various roasts. Battery comes installed, but you'll need a teeny screwdriver to replace it (my only caveat).

It was a gift to a friend who could not rely on any thermometer she had ever owned. This seemed to fit her requirements. Simple and warranty. Will see.

This is a great thermometer.. It is easy to see, easy to use, and accurate. The probe is easy to clean. Since it is a relatively new purchase for me, so I can’t speak to battery life. I am very happy with my purchase.
