ORGANIC CHEMISTRY,2E

This is the best book on Organic Chemistry I have come across. It deserves seven stars. The concepts are explained in an easy-to-understand and informal manner. No prior knowledge of chemistry is required. The book is printed in full color and the diagrams are also drawn in full color. The authors give examples from day-to-day life making the subject interesting. For example, right in the first chapter the picture of a label of a bottle of body wash is given listing the chemicals contained in it. This is followed the chemical structures of the compounds and their purpose in the body wash. The later chapters are quite advanced and contain concepts taught at MSc level.

Clayden's organic chemistry is a well known book. Easy to understand and an advanced book for students preparing for iitjam,cuet and other competitive exams.

As far as now, the best book I have come across to understand( not just learn) Organic Chemistry. For an Indian student with the clerical pattern of their school and university examination( Memorisation) this book may not be of much help. But if you really want to understand Organic Chemistry and enjoy the study, and crack examinations of Higher level this is the first book you need to get. At first you may spend a lot of time to finish the first ten or fifteen chapters of total 43, then it is going to be very easy and enjoyable. This book will change the way you see organic chemistry, and make you better. I love the coloured version, for both the colours and paper quality.
