I am currently in my second year of daycare after graduating high school, but now that I am in a much larger center I have been placed in an Infant room specifically, and this was a really good book for me to start getting all my thoughts, daily lesson plans, and just ideas about infants in general. I bought a lot of different books to really dive into everything, and I've enjoyed them all. You can never have too many books about something that you're interested in, or something you need to know more about. There is always room to learn.

Most of the information in here can be found on the internet for free. The other content is pretty much what any parent would do with a child- sing, talk, read, and help them learn to move around. The rhymes resource in the back was neat but otherwise I’d just do a google search for free content.

I bought this as soon as I became a teacher at a childcare center as I wanted to know as much as I could about infants before working with them. This book was a life saver, I learned so much in how to work with infants, feed them, teach them, what skills they should be learning, milestones, etc. You name it this book has it! This would be great book to get expecting mothers as well as something every childcare center that has infants should have on hand.

Great book for my home daycare. Really helps with making developmental activity plans with all the activities and even has a milestones by age page which is nice.

This has been an excellent resource when planning my infant's weekly schedule. I've began using it when she was 3 months old. Now she is 8 months and I have seen her achieve milestone after milestone. Wonderful ideas, guidance and explanations. I hope there is one for toddlers.

児童英会話講師の仕事に役立つかと思って買ってみましたが、どうやら対象はアメリカのデイケアで働く人のためというところが強くちょっと違うかなという感じでした。しかし、英語を教えるという観点からではなく、子育てについて英語で読んでみるという見方をすると、わりと役に立つ本だと思います。子供とできるアクティビティーや歌（18ヶ月までなのでアクティビティーといってもかなり限られますが）、子供の成長について、オススメCDや本など、情報は満載です。ただ、歌などには楽譜がないので、インターネットで調べるか、他の本で調べるかしないとわからないのが結構あります。（もしくは、筆者が作った歌で「〜のメロディーで歌いましょう」と書いてありますが、アメリカの童謡等を結構知らないと、わからないものが多いです。）
