Blue Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus VAR. columbinus) Liquid Culture Syringe Sample for Mushroom Cultivation Growing on Grain or Agar

Have to say I am VERY impressed. I am a novice mushroom grower (this was the first syringe I ever ordered). Beginning of the summer I made brown rice cakes using the PF Tek (I am an idiot, should have used straw or sawdust). The jars colonized quickly. I birthed them and put them in a SFC (again dumb). They started pinning and began to grow small oysters! Unfortunately they weren't getting enough FAE or humidity so the mushrooms came out small/stretched out (my fault). So as an experiment I buried half the cakes with some smoker pellets and today they popped up! With the other cakes I created a slurry with water in a STAB and inoculated some quart jars full of sterilized rye berries. THEY COLONIZED! I just added the grain spawn to grow bags with saw dust and am waiting for them to fully colonize so I can fruit these bad boys. I am very very impressed with the quality of the culture from this vendor. No contamination and this strain is HUNGRY. I will definitely be trying to clone this strain to agar (don't worry, I will order other cultures as well!). Will buy again. Thank you for making such an amazing product. Happy growing!

Substrate colonize very poorly, otherwise all else was good. No contamination, seller included an alcohol wipe, quality of syringe was fine and was labeled. Perhaps it suffered some tempature extreme in transit.

Inoculated several agar dishes and grain jars. Growth was clearly visible in 24hrs on all my agar, and half of the grain jars. So far no signs of contamination after nearly 48hrs. Any contamination that turns up is either slower growing than oyster mycelium or introduced by me. I will update if I see any signs of contamination that I suspect are the result of the product vs. my process. So far, I'm happy. It seems to be a quality product.

The culture Syringe was great. Came clean and sterile. I had 0% contaminants. I also got great colonization and my Mushrooms are forming clusters just fine! Will use this company to purchase cultures for sure. Very pleased!

Strong fast growing good fruiter

KO'ed 6 jars. no development. KO'ed 1x LC jar shows a little promise one month later. maybe 2nd go round will be better with my LC. kinda bummed it failed 1st time around

All I grew with this was cobweb mold.. I would blame it on dirty work but I did other inoculations in the same session that worked fine.

Clean, contaminant-free viable culture with great yield when the environmental conditions are met. Forest organics is a reliable source for quality mushroom cultures. These blue oyster mushrooms are beautiful!! Thank you guys.
