Impressed with Bogs
I am new to Bogs and bought these on a whim given the amazon reviews. I needed some waterproof shoes for some dog walking in low cut wet grass. I got the shoe in the mail about a month ago. Open the box and noticed the shoes were a bit oily (later found out is to protect the rubber during the initial storage). I wear anything from a 9 to a 10.5 shoe depending on manufacturer, usually 10 in most cases which is what I bought here. Put the shoe on and wow, this shoe fit like a glove. It was incredibly comfortable, something I did not see coming from a rubber shoe. It is heavy but 1 minute walking in these you forget the weight and focus on the nothing but dry feet and a comfortable walk. Since these are all rubber I do expect to sweat in these a lot though this has not been the case so far. I have warn them for about 4 hours without issue however I do not think the temp reach above 65 degrees. Can't speak for the warmer months yet. Seem to constructed very well. I do expect these to last a long time given my use. Overall it is a great walking shoe that you forget is even on you feet. Oh these are ugly but rain soaked shoes are ugly too. I'd rather have dry feet. I will likely buy the taller boots for the winter months but definitely keeping the short walking shoe. Good job Bogs.

Nice Waterproof alternative to Muck Shoes
I've used these shoes 3 to 4 times a week for the last 8 months.Comfort: I was a longtime user of Muck Shoes (over 5 years), but their price has doubled and I was looking for a good and cheaper alternative. These aren't quit as comfortable as Muck shoes for me (your mileage may vary), and I probably would not have even noticed if I didn't have both to compare. Comfort is more then adequate (and perhaps I'm just use to the fit of the Muck Shoes). Both brands use neoprene which can be warm in summer ( I use think 100% wool boot socks and I don't find them unreasonable hot in summer and are adequately warm in cold (not very cold) temperatures.Safety: Traction on wet, smooth surfaces seem to be much better then Muck Shoes. (A major complaint I have with Muck.)Wear: I'm still not sure if the sole will last as long or longer then the Muck Shoe (a minor complaint I have with Muck). If I had to guess at this point, I'd say the Bogs has a thicker and therefore will be longer lasting sole and will last longer.Highly Recommend..30 Sept 2014 update: I've worn these shoes for 3 to 4 times a day for the past year and a half and they have worn out (crack from toe flex). Sole still pretty good and this shoe will last a good six months longer then Muck shoes (which last only about a year); the Bogs have much better traction on wet grass or wet tile. However, the price has increased by 40%. Still much better value then Muck shoe.

Read this review!
These shoes are pretty dang nice. High quality with a great fit. They are true to size so don't worry about ordering up or down a size. The main thing I noticed when reading reviews for these shoes were the idiots complaining that the tread wears out quickly. People, this is a purpose built shoe for doing stuff outside (ie gardening, house work, working on a farm, muddy stuff etc.) Just because the company decided to name them an "Urban Walker Shoe" does not make this a walking shoe. Do not expect the tread to last forever walking your dog on the pavement. This is not what it is for. If you want a shoe to walk your damn dog...go buy a pair of running shoes or something designed for pavement! This complaint is probably from the same type people who run winter tires on their vehicles in the summer and complain that the tires wore out quickly. Really?! Yes it is a softer compound tread, yes the upper is waterproof, yes it is not breathable, yes it takes a second to get them on which may require you to bend over and assist your foot into it. That is what you get for this type of shoe. The trade off is that you get an awesome pair of shoes that will cradle and support your foot, keep them dry, and make you look like a rockstar. Anyway, these shoes are awesome and I recommend them to anyone who want something waterproof for working outside. Super comfortable and high quality. BUY THEM NOW!

Like wearing SCUBA fins...
I wear these at work (I work in the operating room) and they are tight but comfortable. I needed a pair of work shoes that were waterproof, comfortable (on my feet 8-10 hours a day), and easy to clean. The first day I wore them, they were very tight fit. The stitching at the ankle started to bother my heel after having them on for about 8 hours. They squeeze your feet, but the toe area was comfortable enough. Subsequently wearing them proved to be more comfortable after a relatively short break-in period. One con is that they slip more than I'd hoped they would on wet surfaces. There is a shiny plastic coating that took a day or two to wear-off on the soles, and this gave me less traction initially on linoleum surfaces common in operating rooms.I have found them adequate for my job, but would probably choose a different shoe in the future for the environment I work in.

Bogs Urban Walker rain shoes are the Best
I bought this exact same pair of Bogs Urban Walker rubber waterproof rain shoes 7 years ago when I started a new job in Flint, Michigan. They have worked perfectly and lasted for the entire 7 years only recently developing a wear tear in the heels from use and inner lining wear not affecting performance but clearly wearing out. I consider 7 years of daily wear to be acceptable and outstanding for rain shoes that I wear every day to work - my driving shoes - and shovel snow and walk in rain/snow daily in the Michigan winter. I wore out a pair of rubber Muck shoes in half the time with weekly yard work and winter wear. The added benefit of Bogs Urban Walkers is that they are sufficiently dressy looking that I can wear them to court as needed and provide excellent winter traction with secure rubber soles and fit.So I just bought another pair of Bogs Urban Walkers to replace the ones I wore out the last 7 years. They are great shoes and truly waterproof except in deep snow over the low ankle height. They fit perfectly.
