Animated adventure from the creators of 'Cars' and 'The Incredibles'. Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) is a rat who dreams of becoming a great French chef despite the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau (Brad Garrett). Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely - and certainly unwanted - visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down. the 3d version is better than the 2d one by a long shot!
This was re-released in 3d at the theaters and the conversion is excellent. This is well worth watching. It's a great family film and the 3d only adds to the fun. IT has the flat 2d version which cannot compare to this version. which has so much depth and the animation just looks much better in 3d. IT's region b and I don't know why America did not get a version of this in 3d. After all it was on at the theaters in 3d. (the second time). This is worth owning in 3d and I would say that if you enjoy this you should grab 'inferno' a classic 3d film that looks outstanding on 3d blu ray and it's on amazon.uk.

3D version is spectacular
Even though you need a 3D player that plays region B, this is worth purchasing such if you don't have one! The excellent 3D (both good resolution into and out of the screen) really enhances the already excellent animation, plot, and characterization. It took me a while to obtain and get around to watching this but it was well worth the wait. Even without the 3D this is one of the best animations out there: the amazing rats with their realistic movements, the clever plot twists throughout the movie, and the wonderful humor. It's a real gem!

Not Region Free
I bought this with several other Disney 3D movies. I live in the US and they have forsaken 3D Blu-ray here. Amazon UK is a great alternative for getting my 3D fix. Unfortunately this movie, unlike all the other Disney movies, is not region free. Very odd.

Ratatouille rains King abroad
As usual Disney does it again. This is a perfect transfer into the 3-D world. I could've never imagined this movie was made into D and it was. It is too bad that this release is only available abroad and not in the country of origin of this film which is the US. I don't know what's happening with Disney and their marketing of 3-D titles in the United States. In any case I'm glad that at least I was able to order it from The UK

Great Rat Pack entry
Wonderful! I love this rat and have seen it many times, Yep I am an adult...this is not really a childrens film, so many jokes about critics and haute cuisine and now it has been released in 3d which makes it even better. The Before Xmas Nightmare 3d release is so poor almost no depth to the entire film but this release is as good as 3d gets.

Great movie, great disc--but not all region!
Perhaps the best animated film of all time, well deserving of many repeat viewings. Much enhanced by 3D. However--disc was described as all region, and in fact turned out to be Region B locked, and not viewable with most US players. Fortunately I have access to an all region player, so was not a problem, but this misinformation must be corrected on your site!
