UPDATE 5/20/2025My original review was a single star. Within 24 hours of the review, Remette reached out to me. They gave me suggestions on how to adjust the knife, and they also offered a refund along with a new knife. The new knife arrived today, and while a bit tight to open, it's exactly what I would expect with a new knife. This one will definitely improve with use. Remette at no time asked me to change my rating. They didn't put any conditions at all on my acceptance of the new knife. I'm changing the review on my own. I am now rating it 5 stars. It's partly due to the new knife and largely due to their outstanding customer service. It's so refreshing to see a company that stands behind their product and also is so proactive in their customer service. Excellent response Remette. Great service, great communication and kudos to your entire team.I'm debating whether to keep the knife and hope it works in, or send it back. I love the looks and the size. But, it's extremely hard to open. Very small tab to flip open, mixed with an extremely tight swivel. Since it's so compact, there is nothing on the blade to allow a secondary option to open the knife. I've had other knives work in after a day or two, but this is so tight I'm not hopeful. I expected better from Remette.

It’s small enough and good looking enough to fit any dress code. My blade came a little off center and super tight but they include the tool to help you center and loosen it up. The flip opening style they’ve chosen is a bit awkward if you’re looking for speed and responsiveness but it’s still a great EDC, even when the wife makes you dress up for some fancy fancy.

Excellent blade sharpness, quality and great functionality!

I got this knife because I wanted something slim and lightweight, but also blacked-out (that's my style), and this knife checks off those boxes perfectly! It's also in D2 steel, which in my opinion, is still one of the best metals out there (just go watch some of the cut and stress testing videos on YouTube). I really like the reverse Tanto blade shape, too, because it's easy to resharpen, great for opening packages and cutting in general (and it looks cool). The blade flicks open super easy with the flipper tab, which is well placed and has some jimping on it. The blade was razor sharp out of the box. The knife overall is the perfect size for everyday carry in just about every environment - work, church, family time, or even at the gym. It's that light and slim, yet solid and sturdy because it's well built out of good materials. The only thing I can think of that would make this knife absolutely perfect (and I'm nitpicking here) is if the pocket clip was reversible. I'm a leftie, so that naturally came to mind.Overall, you can't beat this knife for the price if you want a slim, stylish, and well built knife that is perfect for everyday carry in just about any environment.

Good knife, but the edge came a little wonky and it tries to unscrew itself whenever it opens.

I do own several other, more high-end Remette knives and I love them all. However, I did not expect to love this one. What a small, BIG knife it is. Light and unassuming at first and the minute you take it out of your pocket and pull that flipper - smooth action and long blade take over. Very satisfying and the quality for the price is impressive to say the least. Highly recommended EDC for light duties!

Pros-Great design-Good price, got it for under 30Con-Not centered-Edge grind is uneven from one side to the other, fixed it by sharpening-Detent and flipper tab are not perfect and it is possible to fail deployment-Small relief will create a smile upon resharpeningI'm not a knife expert, just an enthusiast. Can't expect it to be perfect, still a solid knife at this price.
