The real deal
I got this for various air and water sealing for the new home I'm building, at the foundation/wall termination, various penetrations, etc. It was not available at any of my local Big Box stores so it was easier to just order it from Amazon, and the price was competitive. This stuff sticks to just about anything...and care is required when using it to avoid having it fold over on itself. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to get in place easily. This is definitely the "good stuff" when it comes to construction flashing tapes. More expensive than many other generic tapes, but the thickness,,flexibility and stickiness make it worth it.

Great product from a limited time frame perspective
I obviously don't know how it will perform over time since I just built my deck but I suppose time will tell. My review is on ease of installation, workability, and quality of material. It goes down very easy. Just peel and stick. Cut and fold excess material around edges and corners. Very sticky. Stuck to both unpainted and painted wood. It would not stick to any wood that I had just coated with copper napthanate. This is understandable. Once the copper napthanate weathered a few days, it stuck much better. The material is thick (has a lot of bitumen) in it which is good. I can see why this product is said to work. I can't imagine any water sitting on top of the beams/joists and rotting them now that this is down.

This stuff sticks!
I use this for flashing in all sorts of applications. Tried using the flashing tape from the big orange box store recently and it was almost like they forgot to put the sticky on the back! I had to staple it down! This stuff sticks. And it works well in colder weather as well. I used this to flash beams on a deck job recently since it seals the nail/screw holes better than the stuff they sell for joist tape. I love the stuff.

Ordering it again today
I use this on a classic RV it does have an aluminum roof not like ones of today it went on very well the only thing was due to my climate in my area I had to heat it up a little to make sure that it made the stick that would last through the winter I'm actually about to order it a second time

Would definitely use again!
Used this to cover the tops of the beams on my above-ground pool deck. It's very very sticky when applying and I found that using a hard rubber roller ended up making it stick the best after applying it in long strips to the tops of the beams. While I was building the deck there were a few weeks between when I applied the flashing until I actually got all the decking on to provide shade for the flashing. In a few spots the flashing started to unstick but pressing it back down stuck it back on without issue. Now that it's been about 6 months (and is now winter) there's a few spots where its not sticking great, but the top of the beams is still nicely covered and providing protection as I wanted.

Excellent product
This is the best stuff on the market. Warming..once you place the product on the surface you have little time to adjust it as it sticks way too good. I recommend using a hard rubber roller to mash the flashing material into the subsurface. Cuts easy and once applied it will be waterproof and will not come loose.

works great as a new construction wood protector
Used the flashing for protecting tops of joists on an outdoor deck (prior to adding decking), easy to cut to size using a utility knife, easy to peel and apply. Recommend to use a staple gun to attach staples at both ends so you don't get peeling
