I like it
Make sure you read the setup guide that comes in the box. I made the mistake of downloading the manual for this directly from Ubiquiti, which unfortunately was for a much newer firmware than the one that this came packed with. Once I read the guide that came in the box, and was able to get in, configure it, and update the firmware.I used this to set up a point-to-multi-point outdoor bridge for internet access to several outlying rental cabins. At our site, this acts as a bridge to four LBE-5AC-GEN2-US positioned at various distances up to 1.4 Km. Using a 40Mhz channel width I'm able to get 150 to 250 Mbps throughput across 4 remote antennas on very little power.Aiming the antennas was a simpler task than I thought it might be. Most of the remote antennas are not in direct line of sight to this access point (because: trees), but pointing them in the general direction and using their built-in tuning software made it simple. I thought I would have to adjust the output strength and channel frequencies of the radios, but both this antenna and the remote antennas adjusted their own output strength and channel bands once they identified each other. The only thing I really had to set up was the wireless encryption and set the mode to "PtMP".Out in the relatively remote valley where I have these set up, I'm not too concerned about competing signals or regulatory interference (these are 5Ghz radios, so there aren't any serious regulatory concerns here in the USA). If I were going to set these up in a populated area I would want to take a lot more precautions because the range on these is enormous compared to a regular WiFi device.I really kind of wish this device also acted as an outdoor wifi access point too, and not just a bridge, and that it was manageable with the UniFi software. These AirMax devices have their own cloud management software that appears to be designed more for ISP's than for more localized networks. Maybe someday I'll give it a try but for now the devices' own internal HTTP management engine works just fine.

Far superior to competing products
We have been using these units for several years now with vary little service interruptions due to equipment failures. Units generally perform better than any of the competing equipment we use to cover about a 3000 sq mile area in the southeastern Arizona mountains and valleys. Only problem noted has been a tendency for the unit to reduce throughput significantly when there is interference in the area and not increase throughput when the interference is eliminated. Might be something firmware engineering can address in a future firmware release. Since I am a software engineer I know this is a simple task. If you can reduce the throughput speed and block size when heavy interference occurs you can certainly sense when that interference has ended and thus readjust the speed and frame size accordingly. Making an automatic setting on the wireless settings tab for AMPDU so the firmware could adjust from 0 to 64 depending on environment just makes sense. It should coincide with the AMSDU ON & OFF setting.

Exclente equipo
Un buen equipo para pequeñas empresas, pero su potencia no es muy buena, sin embargo el gran ángulo de alcance y la cantidad de equipos que conecta al mismo tiempo como AP compensa la falta de potencia

Todo bien aún que no la he probado aún

Bought because it has 1gb lan
Excellent product as usual. 1Gb Lan is why I purchased.

This is NOT 802.11AC
The device is not 802.11ac, nor can it support 802.11ac. This device can only connect to other airMAX devices, and cannot act as an access point for normal devices like laptops.

Great Value for the Money
These little sectors work great in relatively low RF environments. They aren't shielded or isolated so they aren't going to perform nearly as efficiently in areas of high RF density. But in the boonies they work great
