Good inside and outside
We are placing these at various locations both inside and outside our home. Each is slightly smaller than a golf ball. Comes with small cloth pouches to use to place them though we also prefer to place them in some locations without the fabric or on the ground outside.Placed Inside, they have a mothball like odor so that may be a concern to some. However, the odor does not appear to be overpowering. Would appreciate a bit more direction on placing/using that what is provided. The description on the product page here is a good reference. We like that they are made of natural ingredients. We intend to place more of these as the weather breaks in the North. So far, so good.

Essential Oil Formula
We moved into a house that gets invaded by these guys every summer. Hundreds a day coming in our garage, patio and into the house. Ridiculous. I did try spraying some essential oils as a barrier, although that did not seem to do the trick, presumably because it would evaporate quickly or get washed away. I am hoping that by being in another form, that this will last longer. It should. I will space them out at the entrance of the garage as well as our walkway and other areas, and see how they do come June or July. If they work, you can be guaranteed that I will rebuy them every year. I will try to update my review at that time.

Unbearably Horrible Smell
Smelled absolutely horrible. To the point where we couldn’t bear to use them. I unwrapped two of these, put them in the cloth bag per the instructions, and placed one in my bedroom and one in my bathroom overnight. By the next day, the entire house smelled like a mixture of moth balls and poison. These REEK! May be better suited for outside use, but I am likely going to have to wash my clothes and sheets to get the smell out. We’ve had the windows open all day. Do not recommend for common household use. I’d rather kill a centipede than smell like these.

Horrible Scent
No no no & NO. These smell God awful almost a combined scent of horrible bad breath and moth balls! They do not keep them away as a centipede kicked it out of its way! Hubby and I will collect these back and just toss them away! The only thing it did right was made us gag. I’m sorry but no.

Used it for closet
I used it for closets to keep out those creepy crawlers. So far it's doing its job. It takes a while before it totally dissolves in the air. I would highly recommend this to keep away bugs and crawlers from your storage or space.

THIS HAS A LARGE PROPORTION OF MAGNESIUM SULFATE (EPSOM SALTS)
Should be good for plants, but will be highly soluble. It will kill or repel most soil dwelling critters, including earthworms and other beneficials. I would use this with great care. I will use this in dry areas of my house to repel other insects and rodents. Also good rodent repellent for attics.

Horrible.
I had to return these. The smell is unbearable. It doesn’t smell like essential oils. It smells like something rotten. I never write reviews, but these were awful.
