Note that I've fixed or built hundreds, if not thousands, of computers over the years. The first issue was after removing the plastic wrapping around the supply right out of the packaging, I detected that burned electrical smell. What the heck? At first I thought this supply was toast even before I installed it, but decided to try it anyway. It made me think this was a rebuild or that some part(s) were reused from a burned up unit. I would have taken it apart to inspect it for burns or signs of failure, but there is a warranty sticker and I decided to give it a chance. If it didn't work, back it would have gone without impacting the warranty sticker.I installed this in a friends' 10 year old (or so) Compaq Presario, but it is not an exact fit. The AC power input connector flanges (where the screws are) interfere with the power supply fitting flush against the metal chassis frame. Therefore, the screw that holds the P/S in that corner by the AC power input just barely was able to thread in. So, there is a slight gap. That's a design error on someone's part (whether it be Compaq or this power supply, I'm not sure, because I didn't check either against the ATX spec). My friend didn't care and otherwise, the power supply did work. The DC supply cables were no problem for length and function. This particular computer had IDE interfaces for the HD and CD, and the P/S had both 4-pin Molex peripheral connectors and SATA power connections. So that was a nice benefit even though it wasn't needed.I did notice this supply weighed less than half as much as the original one. Not sure if it's the thinner metal or the vast differences in current switching power supply designs.In any event, for the price, if it holds up for a few more years, I would say it's worth it.

No issues except my computer did shut down one time due to overheating with this. Rested an hour and was back and running. I say get it, if you are just looking for a replacement for a older computer. It does run a little loud, but that's ok with me since it is in my office and doesnt bother anyone. If it were in bedroom at night, then the wife would kill me!! LOL

Does not fit my 1020! Purchased this and it is useless to me. Be careful if you are purchasing for a 1020!

Had to move the dvr down to the bottom slot because wiring harness was a little short. Other than that it seems to work just fine.

Would not fit computer, as 24 pin connector, computer has 20. How do I return it?

I am very happy with the new power supply I purchased.I wanted to give my daughter an old desktop of mine and found that the power supply was not working.I have limited knowledge of how to install "Techy-Items" but this was easy.
