I've been using Miracle-Gro Organic Outdoor Potting Mix for my container plants, and it's been a solid choice so far. The mix is OMRI-listed, so I feel confident it's organic, and it includes quick-release natural fertilizer that feeds plants for up to two months. My plants have been growing really well—healthy and vibrant. I love that it's made with sustainably sourced materials, which aligns with my eco-friendly gardening approach. That said, I did run into a small issue with fungus gnats, which seems common with organic mixes, but it was manageable. The texture of the mix was fine, though I noticed a bit of debris in one bag, which wasn't ideal. Overall, I’m happy with the results and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, organic potting mix for their outdoor containers. Just be mindful of potential pests!

Other Miracle-Gro products I've used in the past have produced consistent results. This product is no different. Even though it says Organic on the bag, the plants seem well nourished. The response to the growth was immediate. The soil is nice and light. It has a good texture, consistency, and color. It soaks up the moisture well. It is comparatively priced with other products. It doesn't technically mention that this product is pet-safe on the package. However, because it is labeled organic, I am less likely to worry if my cats accidentally get into the pot and play in it if I am not looking. I would recommend this product to family and would purchase it again.

I like the composition of this potting soil, with it consisting of peat, compost and shredded wood products. The only thing missing is perlite to help keep it aerated and minimize the threat of root rot. The consistency is pretty good, although there is the occasional large-ish piece of wood. But, on the plus side, there were no rocks or pieces of plastic in the four bags I used, unlike the "surprises" that I have found in off-brand mixes. It has been working great in grow bags once I added some perlite. A good value on a cost per cubic foot if you catch it on a price dip/special. While the lack of perlite is a con, it gets everything right. 4.5 stars

I ordered 2 bags to establish a small fabric container garden. The potting mix is okay for most vegetable plants. It has a large number of twigs, wood chips, and small pebbles in the composition, so it may need to be run through a sifter if you're planning on planting root vegetables, tubers, or rhizomes. I did notice some tiny insect activity, but they don't appear to be harmful. I treated the mix with a neem oil drench days prior to planting. Moisture retention is decent. I've witnessed carrot seed germination in as little as 5 days time. Aeration could use a helping hand. Pricing fluctuates, but I've seen it drop below home improvement store offerings on occasion.

I’ve avoided Miracle Gro products in the past because I grow my garden organically. When I saw this I thought I’d give it a try. I’m very happy with it. I planted some saffron corms and they started coming up much sooner than I expected. It’s a very nice rich soil and my saffron seems to love it.

The soil quality is great. Can grow any kind of vegetables and flowers. Good for house and apartments don't smell at all.
