Giovanni Navarre Men's Buffalo Leather Motorcycle Casual Vest

My teenage sons are huge fans of The Walking Dead. My thirteen year old wanted to dress as Daryl and go trick or treating but friends didn't go this year and he was too embarrassed to ask one of them. He didn't want to go out alone, so his sixteen year old brother said he would dress up as Rick and go with him. I was very touched by this display of brotherly love but it was about a week before Halloween so I didn't have much time to get his costume together. The Daryl vest sold at the costume store was not only cheaply made but so tiny I couldn't imagine it fitting anyone over the age of 5, which I found weird, I can't imagine that characters from The Walking Dead are popular kids costume. I found this online and lucky for me the men's small was selling for $19.99! Unfortunately it didn't come with Prime shipping and I didn't want to risk not having it by Halloween (which has happened to me before buying costumes online) so I had to pay another $20 for expedited shipping but even at $40 this is a high quality vest. I added the wings to make it look like Daryl's. I was surprised by the high quality leather and it has a great cut, so I took the wings off and I wear it.

For $12 to $20, the price is great. But the quality is really awful. After ordering the same vest from two different vendors on Amazon, it's clear they are made by the same Chinese company who simply sews in different labels.They use a black stain or something that leaves an extremely potent odor. This doesn't smell anything like leather. The leather is very thin patchwork, which some might like -- I don't prefer it. Long and loose threads were common between both vests I bought. The first vest from another vendor had a tear in the leather on the front pocket, so we returned it. The one we kept, this one, ended up being worse.Almost all of the snap/buttons fell off on this vest. One had already fallen off before we took it out of the bag. They appeared to be old and brittle. The metal inside the snaps simply fell apart.Of course, we needed the vest for a party the next night, so we didn't have time to return this second one. We resorted to super-gluing all the snaps back into place, making it non-returnable, I imagine. But no one will know. And so long as we don't use the snaps, it will hopefully last for awhile.Lesson learned: If you want a nice, quality leather product, spend a little money from a good reputable leather store.

best Darryl costume piece! I also bought a walking dead t shirt with the wings printed on the back and I cut them out of the t-shirt and sewed them onto this vest. worked perfectly for Halloween.

This was smaller then we expected it to be but for us that was perfect because I was buying it for a child. High quality feel and beautiful stitching.

I liked the vest but it's not for petite women. Too loose on me even though it was a size Small

It's a cheap vest I used as a costume. It's thin, soft, and flexible. It runs wide.
