Informative. Easy to read. Will update soon
Haven't taken the ccrn nor have I scheduled. I'm still accruing hours. But I will be studying in between while I can. Book is alot bigger than expected. I did recieve a code scratch off. Questions online. Book is set up in bullet points and I really like the questions and puzzles after each chapter. I like the blue in, I read some where a study was done that found people memorize material better written in blue. Hmmm. Interesting. Will update once I take the exam. Then update.

Use this books online questions!!
Passed on the first try using the online questions that come with the book. The cardiac and medication questions were just like the actual exam. The book content is kinda overkill and unnecessary but the questions are great!

Awesome
Awesome question bank when you purchase the paper book. Make sure to get new though because the code for the question bank is only good for one account.

Extremely detailed, but worthwhile information
I studied for the CCRN for two years and just passed on the first try. During that time I struggled on how to study efficiently for this exam. My girlfriend got me the Barron's CCRN flashcards which were great, but honestly did not feel comprehensive enough and I worried they were leaving too much information out or was just TOO watered down. At work, one of my coworker's shared her Elsevier/Evolve CCRN practice question bank with me. The questions felt much harder than those presented in the Barron's and I felt were a true test of everything CCRN. That said, I felt compelled to buy the actual text book. The information in the text is extremely detailed, maybe even too much and too comprehensive. I noticed a lot of reviewers mentioning they did feel there's too much and it's a bit overboard - but if you're like me, this calms your anxiety down as just about every piece of information you're looking for, or unanswered question: it will be in this book. Well, just about. I was pretty bugged there was nothing about rhabdo in this text (good thing it was covered in Barron's) and some of the information was out of date with the text even admitting it! i.e. Triple H therapy and using Atropine for asystole. As said, the practice questions are great and there are hundreds (almost worth it alone), but I felt some answers made no sense (see attached pic) - I don't care who you are: if your Hgb is 4.5 you are getting blood!!! The blue font color really didn't bother me, it didn't make the book any harder to read. I only wish this text had better strategies for the actual CCRN; i.e. how to solve "priority" type questions with multiple answers being right. Either way, I read this book cover to cover and it had my interest the whole time. This book will definitely make you a smarter, more competent nurse CCRN or not.

Extensive information for CCRN
I’m studying! The blue ink does not bother me. The content is over whelming so I’m glad the evolve website has questions to review. I would like to have free access to the PASS CCRN app included. This way I could study on my phone. The app also looks more user friendly than the evolve website. Hope I pass!

Passed CCRN!
I took my CCRN examination yesterday and passed thanks to this book. The book goes into too much content for me so I used the online qbank along with Barron's book.

Best Critical Care RN Book I’ve ever purchased
Incredibly in depth. Teaches highly advanced concepts. Just the diagrams and tables are worth the price of the book.
