I purchased this pump to evacuate an AC system on a car that developed a leak and lost all the charge. After repairing the leak, I hooked up AC gauges to this pump and evacuated the system to make sure the leak has been repaired before recharging the system. . The standard auto AC gauges hooked up to one of two ports on this unit. I turned it on and after just 20 to 30 seconds, the vacuum dropped below 30hg which is the maximum my gauge would show..This pump worked perfectly. I have since used this pump to repair two other cars. Well worth the money for those who understand AC systems well, already have AC gauges and know how to fix them..The pump looks to be built well, it comes with special oil to pour in the unit to lubricate the pump, it has two brass fittings to connect to other diameter fittings or gauges, the suction is very strong, a good amount of air movement and it's fairly quite with little vibration.. I can't think of a thing to complain about.

Over the years I have had several different vacuum pumps. This little guy draws a vac as well as my 6 cm yellow jacket and for a fraction of the cost. Time will tell how well it holds up, but I have no complaints.

Works perfectly. Just remember to remove the exhaust cap before starting the pump. Otherwise it'll launch into the stratosphere, and you'll never see it again.Also, understand that vacuum pumps heat up quickly and eventually burns off the vital lubercating oil that the pump needs to operate. If the pump is run for too long, the room will become filled with vaporized lubercants.So, buy the special lubercating oil that's rated fine enough to use at the same time that you purchase the vacuum pump.

The pump runs perfect but the hose set up is for R12. (R12 and R134 have different thread)You will need to buy an adapter in order to connect your Can Tap Dispensor and Amazon will not let you buy this adapter if you live in CA. I had to but it thru eBay.

Had this set for two years, here are some complaints I have as I used it over time, the lines that come with this set are okay but over time the seals become torn and frayed, but it held up for many recharges, now as I write this as of yesterday the low side knob stopped opening, there is some internal blockage or something but it won't read pressure or open the line for recharging, it also used to have a problem with releasing pressure when you press the schrader valve. Its been like that for a while but yeah. The gauges when they worked were good but only a two year limit on the gauge set and the lines. The pump still works good though so that's a plus.

This item works great. I purchased this to service my personal vehicles AC units. It is a good vacuum that gets the job done. Shipping was fast and it came well packaged. Works as described no issues. If you are looking for a good quality vac for around the house tasks, this is a good buy.

I am very happy with the purchase. I use it to degass silicone rubber and resins, and does the job excellent! Mine gets to max 29psi using a 2gl vacuum pot in abuot 2 minutes. .

I use this for vacuum sealing jars. It works great. One note, when I run the pump, I see a little oil vapor come out of the exhaust. You might want to check the oil level from time to time.
