- ALUMINUM BODY- Aluminum ionizes at a much slower rate than steel and stainless steel. With a much lower carbon content, you can leave your anchor wet for days without worrying about a rusty anchor sitting on your boat. As people question the durability of aluminum, we have found an alloy that will withstand all your marine conditions just as well as steel.
- TINES- The most distinguished feature of our anchor is the aluminum alloy tines. These provide enough holding strength for most marine conditions as well as the ability to bend away when extra force is applied to the anchor line. When you want to pull up your anchor, simply drag it in until the tine releases. Once its back on your boat, easily bend it back in place. We have tested our tines to bend over 100 times without breakage.
- BOTTOM TRIP- The added bottom trip is used for different rigging techniques. Instead of attaching the chain to the top loop, it can be chained to the bottom loop and zip-tied to the top. This way, when you yank the anchor line hard enough, the tie will break and the anchor will flip upside down and release off the bottom.
- ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY- As the environment is an important issue in the fishing and boating industry, we have decided to support the effort in providing a more environmentally friendly product. Many similar products contain toxic lead; known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. We have made it our policy to prohibit the use of lead in any of our anchors.
- LIGHTWEIGHT- By designing a light weight anchor with the same holding strength of a much heavier anchor, we have discovered that weight shouldn’t be the deciding factor when considering a grappling anchor. A less heavy anchor will be easier to carry and to throw away from the boat. For additional weight, simply add additional chain to your anchor line. This will also serve as a great buffer between the jagged rocks of the reefs and the line to prevent fraying.
