These acrylic light risers are exactly what I was looking for. Well made, crystal clear, easy to install, very nice looking, as pictured. I saw several reviews complaining that they were scratched, dull, or had writing on them. Acrylic products are cut with the protective film in place and shipped with the film on so that they don't scratch in production or transport. Once you receive the product, you have to peel the thin layer of protective film off both sides of the acrylic. Then it will be shiny and crystal clear as pictured. The listing for the product should make this more clear or instructions should come in the box so people know that the film needs to be removed. I am very pleased with what I received and it worked perfectly on my rimless tank with my Fluval Plant 3.0 light.

Beware. What you see in the pictures the seller uses may not be what you receive. I was expecting to receive a brand new product. Instead I received a used, damaged product. The acrylic was scratched and cracked on both pieces I received as well as being covered in a mysterious black soot. Not only is this gross and unacceptable, I’m afraid to use this for my tank as I don’t know what the black dirt is and if it will harm my fish

The manufacturer of this product should take a few seconds and buff the plastic on a polishing wheel. I'm pretty disappointed that I'm adding such an unrefined looking item to my $1000 aquascape tank. Also, only selling one at a time is pretty silly. UPDATE NOVEMBER 2022: There is a clear plastic film on the supports that is difficult to peel off. After a few months on my tank, one of them started to peel on its own. I removed the film from both supports and they look perfectly clear. I've updated my review from 3 stars to 5. They look great and work great.

Ok aside from the fact they don't come in pairs. Order 2! That being said, maybe a little spendy. Those who left negative reviews for scratched acrylic aren't savvy enough to know you have to remove the protective film. Lol. They are bright and shiny and crystal clear. They are sturdy, they hold my light up and look great. Trying to figure out why they'd be sold in singles... everyone I know has two sides to their aquarium light 😏

Barely fits my light but knew that ahead of time. Overall it's sturdy and a good height. Screws are easy to adjust. Its a foggy acrylic which isn't the worst, would of preferred clear but its fine. My fault that I didn't read it was a SINGLE side for the price. Found another one here on Amazon which is a set a lot cheaper at the same sizes and looks identical so returning this one and saving some money

Horrible packaging. And the title descriptions makes it sound like they’re two in the pack. Why wouldn’t there be two what am I suppose to just left up one side of the light. Really so counter intuitive. Returning for my money it is not worth. This is the most ridiculous thing ever!

Like everyone else has said make sure to buy two of these. I didn't read the reviews before purchasing and had to purchase a second one the next day. Simple design that was easy to use, clear (This might look scratched or damaged when you get it but it has protective stickers you peel off), and sturdy. It worked perfectly for my rimless tank.

Construction of the item is good. It's not clear like in the photos, but translucent. NOT CLEAR YOU NEED TO ORDER TWO. This should be sold as a set, obviously.

Doesn't clearly tell you that you need to buy two for one light. Mine arrived boken. In person doesn't look great.
