Way simpler than hand check of film, awesome item!
Bought this because I'm tired of asking for hand check on film, and was traveling to Cambodia where the policy is no hand check, everything must go through the X-ray machine. At the security line I simply took this out of my carry on and placed in the tray next to my shoes and sent it through. The first time I warned the agent so they wouldn't think I was smuggling something in a lead lined bag, and he looked at me like I was wasting him time with the warning and just sent it through. After that I simply sent it through every time. No questions, no delays, no 15 minutes spent waiting while they individually swabbed each item... way better than hand check.Just got 30 rolls of film developed, no fogging from X-rays, no issues. Film was ISO 50, 100, 400, and Rollieflex Infrared. The large bag holds about 30 rolls of 120 film in a gallon ziplock bag. This bag is just larger than the gallon ziplock so the ziplock lays nice and flat in it.Note- Some x-rays do get through this thing, I could see on the monitor. I doubt it is enough protection to send your film through in checked luggage.

Well made and fits 180 shots of Instax Mini
Travelling with film is a hassle, but this perfectly fits at least 18 packs of Fuji Instax Mini film.

Great for taking supplements through security
I put my supplements in this bag to protect them from security xrays. It's a very sturdy bag with a good strong velcro closure, and I expect it will get used every time I travel, for supplements or film. The only thing I wish was that the bag opened up a bit more - it's like an envelope, and I think it would be more useful if it expanded a bit. But I was still very pleased.

Saved me
Took this on a trip to Cambodia recently. Flew through Taipei and Bangkok airports. They were accommodating and did hand check on two film cameras and a bag of about 22 film rolls (ASA 100, 200 and 400). Cambodia is a different story. When flying out of Siem Reap, Cambodia ended up arguing with security check point people who just refused to hand check our gear. They cited a handbook that stated that the machines are safe for film of most speeds, etc etc etc. I said that's nice but you can still handcheck and that is our request. After about 20 minutes, talking to a supervisor and back and forth with the handbook in hand, and their final admission that they didn't have the equipment to handcheck or the training to do so, we were forced to put the film and equipment through the machine. I had bought this bag as a precaution and hadn't needed it before. Provided piece of mind. I understand people say that once or twice or a few times through a scanner is fine without any risk but if it can be easily avoided, why do that? I developed the 20+ rolls and it looked *fine* but I still find the refusal to handcheck absurd. Apparently, Cambodia is notorious for this. They just refuse to handcheck and put everything through the machine. It's lazy.

Worked!
I traveled to Belize for my honeymoon and ran my bag with film through several types of x-ray scanners on the way. No one gave me a hard time or asked questions about it and my film showed up and worked perfectly. This is a good find and good purchase.

Works great to protect your film. Needs a carrying strap
This worked bag great. I fit 12 rolls of 120mm film and 3 boxes of 4x5 film into it. The one downside was that there isn't a carrying handle for the case. The velcro closure is really tight so I made my own carrying strap. I ran it under the closure flap and sealed it with the velcro. That worked like a charm. The TSA area in Columbus uses the less powerful x-ray machines, so I sent it through with no problem. On our way back the ABQ airport uses the much more powerful x-ray machines, and I asked for a hand check.

Just what I nnefed
Had an unsual purpuse for this product. Instead of a film shield, I bought this to protect my diabetic contonuous glucose monitors in my carry on against harmful xray airport TSA scanners. TSA has been lnown to ognore my request for a manual bag inspectipn and ruin expensive CGMs.

Protected Exposed Film at TSA
I used this bag and tested running a roll of Kodak Gold 200 while traveling and the developed images had zero haze from the xray. I have not texted this with the newer CT Scanners however.
