amasky Stainless Steel Double/three Tubes High Decibel Outdoor Life-saving Emergency Whistle

This is a great whistle! It is sturdy and made of stainless steel so that it is much less prone to being crushed than a plastic whistle. There is no ball in this whistle to malfunction when you need it the most. In addition, the whistle consists of three tubes so that you have backup built in to the design. The whistle is quite loud and is the loudest that I have found without going to an air horn. After making my initial purchase, I went back and bought more as gifts.

This is a strong whistle. I like the clip on feature. We bought two for our kids because we live in and travel to places with monkeys. We haven't needed these yet, but I won't let go of them. They are well built and are a good tool to carry in sketchier city places on the front of a backpack. I will say that it caused one TSA agent to ask further questions, but it wasn't taken from me. In the agents defense (and I will rarely give the TSA a break), this whistle looks like it should be a multi tool by the design/casing. Good tool.

Whistle arrived on time. It's not nearly as loud as described, and didn't even disturb my ears or my listeners indoors. I wouldn't rely on this in a survival situation. A substantial and amount of air movement required to get a louder sound. You would surely wear out quickly.

Bigger that I expected, but quality is excellent. All metal. Takes a little more effort that the standard whistle. What I like is that it makes the rattling noise like the standard whistle without the cork ball. Not as loud as the standard stainless steel whistle, but loud enough. I have both to compare.

This thing is super loud, it hurts my ears it is so loud. So if your ever lost in the woods, and are using to try to get rescued, it will put out the noise to get anyones attention. It is also very well built and tough. I will be picking up another for my son on my next Amazon order.

The chain came detached when I pulled my keys from my jean pocket. The whistle is truly loud but the chain is poorly attached. Impossible to replace the ring as it is mostly surrounded by the body of the whistle frame. Had to jerry-rigged a replacement.

Loud, easy to blow and very durbable because it's made of metal. The clip and chain are a bit long so I removed them and put a small keyring on the back and attached it with a small locking Nite Ize S clip to my keyring. I put a Nite Ize S clip on it so it's easy to clip to the shoulder strap on my pack while I'm hiking. The whistle is a little heavy but I added it to my keyring so I'll have it with me and easy to to keep track of.

Well made. Lower pitch than titanium whistle. NOT 150db, maybe 120db if you've got strong lungs. I could get about 100db out of it. Approximately same db as titanium whistle, but lower pitch which I like a bit better.Good buy.
