I've bought so many shoe-support and this is one of the best ones. I like that the back-heel and the bottom-heel connects to stay together. At least twice this has happened: I use a back-heel insert that is "attached" to the shoe and as I walk, the insert starts poking out of the shoe and kinda just flap as I walk. It's quite embarrassing in a professional setting. I haven't had that issue with these inserts at all. Also, I like the gel-material because it's clear and easy to switch between shoe colors and so so cool on a hot summer's day.

I have a 7.5 heel but an 8.5-9 shoe size this worked pretty well. I didn't understand it had a clear plastic cover for its self adhesive so occasionally it would slip. The cushion is just under 1/4" thick so expect 1/2-1 shoe size (in the heel) I'm a male so I've only tried this in a pair of cross trainers and a pair of Johnston and Murphy dress shoes. (would not look good in my opinion in a heel if the heel was strappy but I don't wear them ;-)

I have been using these for about a week now and so far so good. I recommend that you use a shoe horn so as not to dislocate the pads. The adhesive is good but won't hold up under a hard push down with your heel.

Bought these to deal with shoes that have a loose heel cup. The heel on these isn't quite high enough and the materials are slippery (even the fabric one) and I bought these to prevent slipping. Nice that I can reposition to my hearts content without leaving residue, but overall, I don't think these made my shoes any safer to wear.

Not really thick enough for me, but maybe for you will be fine.
