The guards come off easily, there are only 3 which which cover a huge variety of lengths so it is fully customizable, charge lasts ages, really high quality and not loud at all! Best shaver I’ve used in years and well worth the price 🥳

I've used plenty of beard trimmers and clippers at all price points and this is the best one I've used yet. Inside the box you get three guards for different lengths, a little bag, charger, a brush and some blade oil. The trimmer feels extremely well built and the blades have no problem even with very thick beards. It's as simple as selecting the right guard and selecting the length you want (the three numbers on the length wheel correspond to the different sized guards!). You can also use without the guards for detailing. As you can replace the blade easily this is going to last a long time, it's also waterproof so easy to clean. Prior to this I was using a top of the range wahl trimmer, which struggled with thicker hair and had serious design faults. Switching to this trimmer I was able to trim in a 10th of the time of the wahl, even with a very big thick corona beard. If you value your time buy this trimmer. Highly recommend! pros: v.easy to use good looking design well built and good grip accurate lengths and easy 0.5mm adjustment works with thick hair no issue very easy to detail and shape good price (compared to other premium trimmers) cons: uses a proprietary power adapter (would have preferred usb c for travel) case doesn't fit the guards and the trimmer. You'd have to pick one for travel and fit it to the trimmer

I just used this for the first time and would say that it is easily the best beard trimmer I have ever had. Fundamentally it is a very efficient blade and quickly trims down to a level length without any pulling, binding or missed hairs. The adjustments are excellent and will allow you to get just the right length. It is also very easy to clean. It claims that an unguarded blade will trim to a 0.5mm length, I found that it was ineffective for this purpose and so is not great for lining up a beard. I use a straight razor to line up anyway but thought I would give it a try. It is quite expensive, I’m not sure that it is really worth the money but very good nonetheless.

I'm not somebody who generally write reviews but this I must make an exception. On Lockdown I decided to grow a beard but my personality wouldn't allow me to just let it grow and grow. So I bought the Panasonic ER-GB86 Wet & Dry Electric Beard Trimmer, I wanted a trimmer that would give me a huge range of cutting lengths and I've not been disappointed. I've been using this trimmer now for 3 weeks and just love the ease of use, ease of settings, ease of cleaning, the great quality, the battery charging time of 1 hour is perfect. To kept my beard trimmed to the length I want I use it every 3 days and I have just cut my hair to 10mm (I don't have thick hair) it was so easy.

It's easy to use, It's got a decent battery life so you don't have to charge it as often, so far so good.

Cuts well but shameful battery life - my philips 5000 has much better battery and self sharpening blades with no oiling and lower maintenance involved and half the cost - I really wanted to like this trimmer but the philips 5000 is better imo

Very good quality trimmers. They're not very loud in operation and run really smoothly. Cut is very good. Battery life seems excellent so far. I really like these clippers. Just wish they made some wide blade hair clippers like the Remington QuickCut Pro to match. These Panasonics are on another level.

It's very lightweight and ergonomic. It's only downside is that because it's engineered to be so watertight, the battery is very very very complicated to replace after 3 years (as explained on the instruction manual). You basically have to take apart the whole thing (tiny screws) and then put it back together. It's the best trimmer I've gotten. The material is hard plastic coated in matte rubber. Water bounces off it. It has a hole it the top and back that allows water to run through, so you don't need to remove the top to clean it (but you can if you wanted). But, I would have to advise you one thing. If you use the trimmer on low battery and you have thick hair, there's a possibility of your hair jamming the trimmer. Don't think this is because the trimmer is faulty. You just need to plug it in and press the power button and that should unjam it. One last thing. You need to buy the trimmer with the extra lengths. It's probably the best value for money. It says beard trimmer but you could actually use it for your hair. It has 22 different lengths. Basically, you have 3 extensions and you roll the number plate to make each extension longer/shorter. This measure in mm, but in terms of "numbers", this goes up to like no.6. If you wanna cut longer hair then buy an actual hair trimmer. I use both in conjuction but I mostly use this.
