Amazing!
This light is very cool! It gives me 7 modes that i can choose which one is my favorite. Though, i don't have a pool, i use it at my bathtub with music; i like this feeling when i'm taking a shower. Ps. i like the plastic duck, it's cute!

Replaced my Hayward ColorLogic Nich mounted light with this ! It is possible.
I replaced a Hayward Color Logic light with this unit. Even that the spec says it wont mount in an existing niche I did it anyway !If you are handy you can do it. I pride myself in making the round peg fit in the square hole.Using parts from the old Color Logic light (Stainless backing plate and the plastic mounting ring) I mounted this light's wall bracket to tat assembly.A little drilling and grinding of the mounting plate and BINGO! A few stainless steel screws from the hardware store and i was all set , almost.Power supply : I got a landscape transformer with a timer for $30 from Home Depot which has a 12VAC tap.I did not re-pull the existing wire out- I made the connections with Marine butt splices . Then i used a small plastic dish and submerged the splice in some resin I had in the garage ( leftover from an old fiberglass repair i had done a few years ago). This method will never leak. Resin is what is used for this type underwater application quite often - I checked with an electrician. Resin is what they use to seal the Lamp itself.anyway. On top of that this is low a low voltage lamp which is protected by a GFI for extra safety. I feel better with a low voltage lamp anyway. So if you are handy with a drill and a little grinding you can make it happen and save a lot of $$$.How much ?- Try like almost $500 I saved !I do hope the Lamp itself lasts. We shall see over time. For now it is as good as the Hayward. Just as Bright and has all the fancy color changing modes

Very pretty, but no direct sun???
Once I got it all set up, it was very pretty. It lit up the deep end of the pool, not the entire pool. There is a label on it that says not to leave it in direct sunlight, or the allow it to be submerged. So using this outdoors I wouldn't suggest. You'll need to get it out of your pool and put it away. As far as not getting submerged - in a pool or tub - good luck with that. So because of that and that the lights were pretty in a small portion of the pool only, I am only giving it two stars.

Bought this light towards the end of the season and only got to use it a few times. This was the third light I bought off of Amazon because the other two did not work properly at all. This light is the only one of the three that the remote not only worked but worked correctly. I can also change the colors and modes via the on/off switch. So far the only complaint I have is the instructions that come with it are terrible. Some were actually for a completely different light and they did not tell you how to properly wire it. Luckily I have friends and family members that are electricians and I was able to install it myself. If you don't know an electrician I suggest hiring one.

I'm OK with it
Disappointed that the remote did not work out of the box but seller immediately said they would send a new one without me asking. Seller notified me that it may not work because it is submerged. However, they did give me a work around to cycling the colors by shutting the power on and off to go to next setting. Given I just want to display one setting this is fine.In life there are trade-offs and as long as this doesn't go bad on me in the next 2-3 years I'll be happy enough from a value standpoint. I'm pretty sure the Aqualumen alternative is twice as good/reliable but we're talking $150 dollars for this and $550 for the Aqualumen. Instructions are not great but if you need too many of those then get a pool guy to do it.

Initial install everything worked great, plenty of light for our 16 x 32 in-ground pool. Third day the unit failed, tried power cycling, using the remote...nothing. Tested the power supply and it was working perfectly. A huge waste of money.

Great pool light for my inground pool with no niche
I have a 20' x 40' pool that required a nicheless light - only having a 1" conduit to go into - and this light is perfect! Looks great and lights up the whole pool. I will say that the remote is pretty cheap and does not work as well as I would hope, but once we found the light pattern we liked….you don't really need the remote unless you want to change the patterns all the time.Great deal for the money. I hope it lasts a while.
