HeliteUnisex-Adult CUSTOM Leather Motorcycle Vest (Black, 4X-Large)

This is my 2nd Helite vest purchased which I chose because of leather and pockets. The 1st vest saved my butt when I was thrown off the bike and landed on my back next to a fence around 10 to 15 feet from the bike. I still have and wear the 1st, but won’t ride without one or the other. Helite in not the cheapest by far but I believe the best with the simplicity and reusability. You can be macho all you want but what’s YOUR BUTT WORTH.

I was in a motorcycle accident 3 days ago, March 4, 2021, I was able to avoid a head-on collision with a truck who turned in front of me but I was throw off my bike as I swerved to avoid him. I was wearing a Sena helmet, some padded pants, and this Helite Motorcycle Vest. I was thrown from the bike going at about 35 mph and landed in the street and landed on my shoulder. The paramedics arrived and asked if I felt any pain anywhere other than my shoulder, they also noticed that I was slightly constricted and elevated and I told them I had on an airbag jacket which deployed so I wasn't able to move until it deflated. I was taken to the ER in an ambulance and the doctor said that the airbag likely saved my life or prevented serious injury, as I had no broken bones or serious abrasions. I do not feel any pain anywhere the airbag was covered and my neck was kept in place preventing any spinal injury.Obviously I am coming back to write this review a year after I purchased this item in the hopes that it would help someone on whether to make this investment, because I initially thought it was expensive, but I would recommend to anyone thinking about getting this to consider to cost of NOT having one of these. It may not have helped much if I had been hit head on so obviously defensive driving has to play a part too. However, being padded up and geared up worked in my case. I walked out of the hospital the same night on my own. Bike is totaled.

Great product for Motorcycle riding, used it to ride from Los Angeles to Sturgis and the fit was great. The tether was easy to attach to my bike with plenty of length. It made me feel just a little more confident while riding. The vest can have patches sewn on very easily. Great product and I would recommend it to anyone riding a Motorcycle and who would like a little more protection other then regular hard armor.

For the cost for a good Helmut you can protect you neck and torso!I have wanted an airbag vest but wanted one that did not stick out and this fits the bill. Great cut that has the airbag vest built into the vest. This is the future of motorcycle safety!
