Goetland Stainless Steel WWII US Army Canteen Water Bottle Military Canteen Kit 1QT with 0.5QT Cup Nylon Pouch G.I.

I received my canteen with nesting cup and carrying pouch today. My first impression was good overall.The pouch is good enough for light day hiking or camping excursions. There is two ways to carry this pouch, either a web utility belt or it has a standard belt loop. I would loved it to have moly but for the price I am not complaining.The nesting cup fits inside the pouch well and the canteen fits inside of it securely. The folding lockable handle is adequate and functions well.The canteen seems well made and free of defects. The cap is adequate and FYI, there is a silicone gasket that may be fully seated in the cap or it may simply be under the cap and when you remove the cap the white gasket may easily get lost. It is easily seated in the cap if yours arrives like that. Even after seating it seems like the gasket will stick to the canteen while unscrewing the lid. Just be mindful of that, if the gasket is lost the lid will not seal and it will leak.The cap chain is heavy enough and the mounting points seem up to the task it was designed for.Overall, I am very pleased with this product and I am happy to recommend this to anyone.

Very good quality

This was a decent set for what you are paying for. The canteen and cup were higher quality than I expected. But if you’re planning on using these in any real world uses, I would get a better canteen pouch than the one that comes with this. This pouch is kinda thin and feels cheaply made. It also isn’t big enough to fit the canteen, cup and a stove if you wish to add one. But all in all it’s decent.

Excelente producto

Gave this as a 99th birthday party present to a WWII veteran. I had it engraved and it brought tears to his eyes. Very authentic duplicate of a WWII canteen. Not like the plastic canteens of today's Army.

The media could not be loaded. I have not experienced any of the negatives that I've seen in some of the other reviews. The only exception to this is that I do not like the canteen cover, and I am going to replace it. I have attached some pictures that compare this canteen cup to a US Army issued one that I kept from my time in service. This canteen does not leak on me, but I will update this review if that changes. For the money you are spending, you get a fantastic canteen and cup, and a bad cover. Still worth it, in my opinion.
