Traxxas Slash 2Wd Short Course Racing Truck, Red

I am writing this review more than two years after I purchased this for my son. The car is still running strong. It is very fast and he loves it. The battery comes separately and can be pretty pricey. The car has many add-ons like tires, chassis and struts (springs). He really loves it to this day. I would recommend this for any one that loves RC cars. We took it to the local track and there are people that are super into this but it was pretty fun and held its own. Great gift for a young child that loves cars and speed!!!

These are excellent novice R/C trucks. RTR, easy setup and operation, and durable- even with kids at the controls. We have beat them up pretty good and they continue to run. No broken components after hours and hours of off road use, jumps, accidental impacts, and many, many rollovers. I an not terribly thrilled at the crappy charger that comes with it (why include a 12v charger and not a 110v one?!?) but you can either buy a wall charger or a 12v converter. Other than the dumb choice of chargers, this is a perfect starter setup with ample room to upgrade.

I have a 10 yr old & up. They love it because it's a cool truck. I love it because I can slow it down until I feel they are ready for faster. It's a sturdy build and has some room for upgrades. I like they're is no pull out antenna and can go pretty fast without loosing signal. The remote let's you step through the speed you want and can even calibrate the steering. Not just on the car. Great suspension and you can even buy upgraded parts if something was to break.

I only tested it for a few minutes to make sure it worked, I had the right battery and charger, and I understood the operation. It is a Christmas present for my son. The performance was excellent. Very powerful and very fast. Well worth the money compared to all of the lesser expensive RC cars that come out at Christmas time. I would warn however that it is fast. Not something you can give to a child and leave unsupervised. One must have some skill in driving. I can't imagine it can hit a wall, tree, or curb at full speed too many times without breaking.

Vary cool truck looks well built but be aware this one does not include the The main battery or charger to run the truck. Otherwise zero issue.

I’m an adult now that played with many tamiya brand RC toys as a kid. This Truck is just what I was looking for. It’s great on pavement/ packed dirt and ok on grass. The suspension tuning is fun and effective. It’s easy to work on and parts availability is endless. I’ve already done some upgrades to the vxl motor and esc along with the low center of gravity chassis but it’s not necessary. This truck was great right out of the box, modifications are just part of the fun for me.

So I originally looked at this truck because of its modified potential, but shortly after taking it out of the box I thought to myself with a 25 dollar motor and cheap plastic what did I actually buy?? It’s the perfect first truck but if you are looking for the Right truck go with the vxl for the extra cash you get a way better platform as far as the brushless power this truck is lackin you will thank me after a week👌👌also the radio turn radius could feel a lot better but I guess that’s what you get when you buy the cheap one but still happy with my purchase although the price I paid for battery and charger I could have bought the vxl 🤔

Good buy but have seen $10 cheaper. Came as promised. Great for any racer. The transmitter is very limited so if your a avid racer it will have to be replaced. Only runs Lipo batteries so for certain tracks you may need a different ESC.
