Are these balms gluten free?

It is known to cause adverse health problems in those who suffer from celiac disease. In 2009, research showed between 0.5 and 1.0 percent of people in the US and UK are sensitive to gluten due to celiac disease. There is currently no scientific evidence that gluten used in cosmetic products that are not ingested is harmful to individuals with celiac disease, including those with the skin form of celiac disease. Patients with celiac disease are often advised to avoid cosmetic products that are likely to be ingested, such as lipstick and lip gloss, if these contain ingredients like wheat germ or barley extract. However, up until recently the actual content of gluten in lipstick and other cosmetic products made using ingredients derived from wheat, barley, or rye had not been investigated. In 2012, the US Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics published a study under the heading "Gluten in Cosmetics: Is There a Reason for Concern?" that reportedly found no quantifiable gluten in lip products and lotions, each containing at least one ingredient derived from wheat, barley, rye or oats. Based on the results, the authors concluded that there is no apparent reason for consumers with celiac disease to worry about cosmetic products applied to the skin, such as body lotion, sunscreen, shaving cream, deodorant, makeup and perfume, especially if hands are washed after use. Update: I use this MULTIPLE times a day to hydrate as a lip balm, but the rosey color reallyy sells it. The tint lasts a good couple of hours even after the product has dried. And that’s saying a lot as a busy teacher who runs around and talks all day. I also have a habit of licking my lips or biting my lip, and the tint still lasts! It gives just the right amount of buildable color to bring my face to life with zero effort. Will 100% continue purchasing as a pocket/purse staple! Got the shade “you’re the Pom” which looks so good and natural on me as a brown skinned Latina. Beautiful warm rosey color, dewy and subtle but also buildable color. Most importantly it’s buttery and smooth and incrediblyyy hydrating! My lippies feel nourished, and it’s not sticky/slimey so my hubby doesn’t feel the need to wipe it off lol. No scent or flavor which is nice too. Spent some time browsing Amazon for a new lip stain balm and settled on this one after reading the reviews and seeing pics. And the price is right! Def gonna keep buying this.

The color is a bit dark compared to a lip tint. However, it doesn’t bother me as I like it. It moisturizes my lips. One coat is ok.
