Mijia/Mi Home app wants all your information on the phone
The hardware is pretty slick. The software is crap. This is a Chinese version of the Wyze Cam or Wyze Cam is a US version of this. With this cam talking to Chinese servers, I would be very cautious to give access to all your phone information to this app.The one I got had all the instructions in Chinese. I was not able to connect it to the Mi Home app. With the cam speaking instructions in Chinese and the Mi Home app possibly not working on my Nexus 5 I just gave up and installed the Dafang-Hacks, which is a waste of time in itself. Despite the Dafang-hacks project being cool, the utility is not much.The Gearbest instructions from other comment seemed like they were helpful. Following those did not help me though to connect the Mi Home app. The Mi Home app does not seem to work well.Anyways, I would highly suggest to go buy the Wyze Pan camera, which is for the US market than this one to get the job done.

Don't Bother
I purchased this camera and it has proved to be totally use less, due to lack of English setup instructions. What lttle instruction there is... is in Chinese and I have yet to find an avenue of support to get it up and running.

Easy setup is you're not a moron
Unless you're a complete moron, this camera is very easy to install and setup. Google instructions off a site like Gearbest, and it takes 3 minutes start to finish to download app and connect this device. After connected, change to English.
