This was one of the best purchases I've ever made! I attended Lollapalooza '17 this past weekend and needed a blanket to sit on. I bought the extra large, in case my friends and I wanted to lay down, and I'm so happy I did. On Thursday night extreme storms and heavy rain went through the festival. My friend and I were able to lay down half of the blanket to sit on and cover ourselves with the other half. It was basically a tent. And we were 100% dry. We sat through about an hour of heavy rain until the weather got too severe and the festival had to end early. Everyone was soaked, except my friend and myself. This is completely waterproof, lightweight and folds into a small rectangle. I highly recommend this for anyone going to a music festival, camping or even a day at the beach. A great product and one that I will recommend to all my friends.

We finally got to use this product at the beach for week. It's a solid product. It sheds sand and water very easily and the anchors and sand pockets kept it in place, even with some fairly good wind gusts. The aluminum underside kept the blanket at a neutral temperature, which was very nice given the extremely hot and humid weather we experienced. It requires a pretty tight refold to get it back in the bag--not that we struggled with that but you will have to take a little time to fold it back up neatly. All in all, we are pleased with this blanket and are hoping it holds up.

Wow .. Cosy Meadow did a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ job on this Travel Beach Blanket/Picnic Tarp!! I have seen more expensive blanket/tarps similar to this that do not have anything near the quality as this Cosy Meadow item. Even the protective zip-lock bag that both blanket and stakes came packaged in is detailed and reusable. As I examined the blanket, I can say that it is, in every way, sturdy of build/fabric quality and sewn together nicely where stitching is needed. The beautiful logo on the blanket is printed with as near perfection as any printed fabric item you can find. Often, with items that come with stuff bags, the bags are of less quality than the item itself. Not with this item! Cosy Meadow took their item several steps forward and included both a stuff bag for the blanket and a bag for the 4 stakes included with the blanket/tarp, and created them from the same fabric as the blanket/tarp!! And, if that isn't a wow moment .. it doesn't end there. The 4 stakes are a beautiful metalic blue with the Cosy Meadow logo stamped into each of the stakes! I have been an avid hiker and camper for many years and have purchased a few really nice tents and sun shelters. Never, even from some well-known outdoor adventure companies, have I ever seen that! Add another step forward; Cosy Meadow used nice sturdy quality cinch cord for both bags .. including a spring-loaded plastic toggle on the blanket/tarp bag. And the ends of the cords have been treated to keep them from fraying. All of this for under $20. This blanket has many more use opportunities than just a beach blanket; this blanket can be used as a footprint for a tent, a sun/wind/rain shelter, an emergency blanket for retention of body heat when used with the metalic side against the body, a rainfly for tent, waterproof tarp to protect gear etc ..... All I can say is that I am extremely pleased with my dark purple blanket/tarp from Cosy Meadow! Great job Cosy Meadow!!

You know the phrase, can't put the genie back in the bottle? Yeah, that's this blanket getting back in the bag. It's just too hard to get this thing back in the bag for a product that's supposed to be convenient. Picture trying to fold it up perfectly on a windy day at the beach while your husband and you yell at each other over how best to go about the folding. Then the wind comes and messes up all your work just as you're close to reaching your goal. You get frustrated and try again to just squish it all down into the bag without folding but it doesn't fit. Then you resign yourself to trying for the third time to perfectly fold it in, replicating the original creases that are impossible to find again, and it finally fits. Then you leave the beach feeling frustrated and think, should have just used a towel.

Four stars because we haven't used this item repeatedly to be able to offer a more educated/experienced opinion, however, we used this today for the first time for the purpose we purchased it for and it worked really well.We bought this to use as an outdoor ground cover for our 6 month old daughter to play on while we're outside. My intention for buying this more tent-material blanket than one that is quilted/padded is that I wanted a water-resistant barrier that would easily wipe clean & release debris when shaken, and I wanted to be able to customize any blankets or padding to my specific need of the moment. I also liked the idea of being able to stake the blanket down.Today was windy and those stakes were fantastic. The blanket worked awesome for us - plenty of room for a baby quilt, toys, and us without feeling squished.The little travel pouch is pretty handy, too.

I got this blanket for my and my daughter's service dogs to lay on when we are out and about. I've had several opportunities to plant my hiney on it and it holds up well. I've used it several times in various kinds of weather from rain to sun, and on a variety of surfaces from gravel rock to grass. It stays where its put, provided there's no wind, and cleans up miraculously! When it gets wet all I do is hang it to dry and any muck brushes off without fuss. It's held up to the dogs toe nails well and shows no sign of wear. It works great as a sun shade and could easily be used as a light weight tarp. The pockets on the corners are an asset to hide belongings in and the stakes that come with are a bonus. I've not used the stakes yet though could see how beneficial they could be. After using mine, my daughter has asked for one of her own. Other's who have seen it have asked where I got it and I've gladly referred them. Will be buying another soon!
