Rhinoceros Tap: 15 Seriously Silly Songs Hardcover – March 1, 2004

The Boynton/Ford team can’t be beat! This is their first album and they hit a home run on their first try. I have Philadelphia Chickens and Dog Train and love them both and needed more Boynton/Ford songs to sing along with. And Rhinoceros Tap hit that nail on the head! I find myself constantly singing songs from this, and their other albums. Btw, I’m a 58 yo woman with no kids so don’t think you need children to enjoy these songs! Their later albums might be a little more polished and have big name singers, but this one is just as witty, fun, and seriously silly as any that came after!

This CD is golden at our house--and especially in our car. My one-year-old son absolutely loves it; he can be whining and screaming while we're on the road, and as soon as we put in "his" CD, he immediately stops--no joke. He whines between songs, apparently afraid we've turned it off.The best part is, my husband and I enjoy it, too. The lyrics are endlessly clever and the music is really well done--not the annoying type of kids' music you expect when you hear "kids' music." The only downside is the way the songs run through our head constantly, but that's to be expected when you listen to it as often as we do.We have and will continue to give this one as a gift. Definitely recommended.

I first purchased this in cassette tape and book form (along with Boynton's "Philadelphia Chickens") for my kids over 15 years ago. When we were planning a trip that would have us all in the car for 25+ hours, I decided to order this again with the CD and surprise them during the trip. It was a big hit and a blast singing along to the same silly songs with my now 17 and 19 year olds. My daughter has used the sheet music in the book to play on the piano as well. Someday, I hope to share these same silly sing-alongs with my future grandkids!

Few things beat having a couple of grandkids in the back seat singing along to "Oh, Lonely Peas or Bad Babies." They really like having the songbook to follow along...and seeing the musical scores. We'd visited the local library and checked out one of Sandra Boynton's other CD's/songbooks and liked it so well, I bought a copy and then bought this one, too.It should be in every grandparent's "toolbox." You will be as delighted as the grandchildren. And, yes, I've been known to belt out a couple of songs along with them.

I have several Sandra Boynton books and albums, and I love all of them! I loved them for my own children (they are past this age bracket), but I also love them for my classroom students (I am a music educator).

We love Sandra Boynton's silly songs! The only reason I didn't give this one 5 stars, is that in comparison with "Dog Train" and "Philadelphia Chickens", the songs aren't quite as catchy, but's that's just my opinion. We like the book, with the words and music to sing along with. Our grandchildren love it and the other Sandra Boynton albums we have.

4 yr old grandson loves all things Sandra Boynton and loves to sing along while he "reads" the lyrics in the book. The songs are great and so much better than typical kids music where there are kids singing songs that are way too old for them or singing boring songs.
