JOAN Manager Wireless Conference Room Scheduler, Grey

Most reviewers say it can be difficult to set up. I can see why. It wasn't too bad, but you need to understand how your particular calendar system works. We have a hosted MS 365 system. Using 365 takes some preliminary setup, but does work. We purchased one for each of our conference rooms to help with scheduling. We were using Outlook calendars and then hand writing the schedule on a calendar stuck on the door of each room. Within one day of me implementing the Joan system, people were already praising me for getting it. I am using the Joan cloud service, but it is worth every penny. Once you have it set, it is pretty much flawless. Set your schedule to go to sleep on the weekends so it will help with battery life. I feel it is worth the investment. We will be purchasing another soon.

I purchased this product so that our staff would be more efficient at scheduling our admin conference room, eliminate disturbing walk-ins and help us know who was included in a meeting so that we’re not putting out an apb for a missing person.This product offers a couple of different options and levels of setup. If you are not network savvy you can pay for a hosted account otherwise you can host it on your own Microsoft server. I consider myself a little above average than your typical user. It took me a few hours to get familiar with the requirements and prep the server to host myself. If you have an in-house IT this should be even faster. Once connected it’s a breeze for anyone to learn how to operate. Definitely looks nice and professional. It seems the Joan team is continuously working on improvements which is great because there are some updates I’d like to see soon. The device does seem to hiccup every now and then and that may be due to its connection to WiFi or possibly it’s low processing power. Joan offers a fair amount of information on how to connect your device but getting a live person to help you out, at least in my case, has been next day by email. At this price point a bigger screen and better support would have been nice. However it does have some nice pros such as battery life and ease of install. Not having to drill holes into the walls or run cables was huge for me.

The device works and it is very helpful in organizing our meeting room. It also came with a power bank to charge it on spot

Bought the JOAN manager from newegg for $70 off the list price. Looks nice and I'm hoping it will be a welcome part of our office.Pros:- Install is really easy- Looks really nice.- Battery life is great.- Upcoming development sounds nice.Cons:- Setup instructions are not as clear as they should be. setting up a calendar resource that you link to the JOAN wasn't explained very well. There was some confusion about whether you create a new google apps log in, or if you set it up another way (you create a resource in google apps, and link the resource to JOAN)- Slack integration has some work to do. The bot is pretty specific and limited in the commands that are needed.- Setting up a server isn't very clear or well explained (free hosting route), which means you might end up paying for the monthly hosting fees.Overall the product looks nice and scheduling rooms works well, but the backend setup is a little confusing for the first time setup. Once you've figured out how to setup the first JOAN product the second and third products will be much easier to implement.

This screen is cheaper than other more complex systems but it really makes a good work.
