Love the Haynes manuals, very useful for vehicles with little info on the internet.

Being female, I have to put up with a lot of prejudice from male mechanics who think they got a sucker. When I needed a radiator flush, they quoted me over $100 to do it. When I said I'd do it myself, the price dropped to $40???? This book helps me out of some small, tight spots.

In TEXAS in a friend gives you a car that does NOT run, the State charges sales tax on the value of an average running car. Hence I paid $625 taxes on a car that cost me $1,600 to rebuild the transmission & replace. Grumble, grumble, grumble... I bought this book in order to change a starter on my wife's 93 Taurus wagon. The book was very helpful, and I managed to complete the job without too much trouble.
