Really nice synthetic brush set that is perfect for travelling watercolors or for any media really. I like this brand a lot for their softer synthetics. They don't hold as much water as a traditional sable, but that seems to be true of all synthetics. These brushes have great points and are good at holding them. I use them more for detail work than fill work, and so far have held their bristles nicely. As a multimedia artist I often end up retiring my watercolor brushes early for use in oils as a softer blender for them and so far they are holding up nicely!

These brushes are really great- one of my favorite things is that the package they come in double as a carrying case! When you remove a little strip of paper-like material from the bottom of the flap, a sticky material is underneath- and it’s strong enough to keep the package shut but also easily open it. Regardless of the carrying pack’s design, the brushes themselves are great! I really like the ratio of brush to wood, in the way that bigger brushes have bigger, wider shapes, and smaller brush tips have skinnier handles- this makes it a lot easier to paint with them. It’s also nice how they have a non-painted wooden part to the stick- it makes the ushers stand out compared to some of the more boring, solid tone brushes I’ve seen. So far they’ve worked great! If any problems arise I’ll be sure to update my review accordingly.

Oh... This is a fun set of brushes. The set consists of 12 brushes. If you enjoy detail work, you'll enjoy these brushes. There are a variety of shaped and sizes and a couple specifically for texture. And, you can't beat the price... Excellent value. Lou Belcher

12 brushes in this package. I like the quality of the hair. It’s smooth and better than $8.99’s one I used to have, they also have a nice package you can always take brushes in and out. I like it.
