Denver TCK-50 Boombox Kidz with 2 Microphones

Bought this for my 2yr olds Christmas. She LOVES music, singing and dancing so she absolutely loves her "music" as she refers to it. The two microphones allows me, her cousins or her baby sister (if she's feeling particularly generous) to sing-a-long to her "music". The microphones aren't that loud (I consider that to be a blessing). It's also easy for her to operate on her own. I've only showed her once how to change the cd's and she's been good to go as it plays automatically. She does need help sometimes turning on the "music" (power) but other then that it's very kid friendly and seems durable.

Nice bright colours so looks great. The buttons and knobs are child friendly to use even for my 2 1/2 old - apart from the on-button which is quite difficult to turn on but that's a good thing ;o)The only thing that could be better is the CD-flap: it opens very easily with no resistance at all so we are often listening to the first song of a CD again and again because the children are tempted to play with it. Otherwise it seems sturdy and has already survived a number of falls.

It's early days, but it seems to be a winner so far. My daughter is just over 3 years old, at the time of buying and is able to independently use it, and play her own music. I'm quite disappointed in the microphones. They just don't seem to work properly. There is not enough volume on them to compete with the music. But on the other hand my daughter has a big singing voice so it doesn't really matter that much. But I do think they could improve on that. Otherwise though, I'm very happy with it and more importantly so is my daughter.

The first one of these that was delivered was faulty and wouldn't play CD's, which resulted in a very disappointed little boy on Christmas day. However, I returned the original and ordered another which works perfectly fine. My two-year-old loves this CD player. He enjoys singing along but most of all he enjoys taking the discs out and putting another in, go figure! We mostly only get to listen to 2 seconds of each song! My advice would be, if giving it as a present, test it first!

Bought this for my niece as a birthday present as she loves listening to music. CD player is very good quality and sturdy. Lights up on the one side when switched on and good volume control. Nice easy buttons for her to use and has a handle for her to pick it up and move it around. Only downside was that the box came slightly damaged and the microphones are small & not very loud.

I can only review the product in its packaging as I have bought this as a Christmas present which will not be opened for another 3 months! Delivery was fast and efficient. The CD player is well packaged and certainly looks extremely fun. It is heavy which makes me think it is a good sturdy product for a small bairn. I am hoping this will make my nephew very happy!!

Sorry. Wish I had never bought this. Gave it to my grandson on his 3rd birthday. Looks wonderful. He was delighted. The problem is the microphones. They are useless. Ours worked for less than a minute and even then they were hardly audible. I returned the product and asked for a replacement. I wish now I had asked for my money back because the second one was no better. So disappointing. I just can't be bothered returning another one so we are stuck with just having a CD player. I know there are other models on the market which are better because 10 years ago I bought something similar for my granddaughter and that worked brilliantly and was passed on to other youngsters afterwards too. I do not recommend buying this product.

Excellent child -friendly machine. Ended up buying one for my 2 3/4 year old and another for my autistic 4 year old. They are both really pleased with them and so am I. We haven't tried the karaoke microphones as they pretend they are telephones.
